Diablo 2 Resurrected is a beautiful journey down memory lane. It's a game that brings out memories and joy and, sometimes, rage (it can be brutally unforgiving). This new-old Diablo 2 took us home for a while. A sweet illusion, but its longevity depends on the work the developers still have to do.

As a big fan of Diablo II to begin with, I found in this review that Diablo II: Resurrected hit all my buttons and truly brought me back to my childhood. Gameplay-wise, it's as faithful an experience to the original as you can hope to get, and while the modern graphics are dazzling, I'm here for one reason and one reason only - to kick some demon butt. Newcomers may be a bit put off by some dated mechanics, but for fans of dungeon crawlers or those who just want to relive one of the best PC games of all time, Diablo II: Resurrected won't disappoint.

Diablo II Resurrected offers fans of the original game exactly what they want – the same game they left behind in 2002 with gloriously updated visuals. Everything works well on the controller (despite some inventory issues). New players might take a while to acclimate to the somewhat dated gameplay mechanics, but settling in, they will find a ton of enjoyable adventuring to be had with friends.

If you feel nostalgic for Diablo II: Resurrected is the best way to scratch that itch. If you felt that it was overhyped back then, the new release will do nothing to change your mind. And if you are new to videogames, you better start with Diablo III, since you will not miss anything story wise, and the experience will be much more satisfying.

Diablo II: Resurrected is a good game that creates the greatness of the original work with visuals suitable for modern sensibility. However, the fact that he left the obvious discomfort of the old game untouched raises suspicions that Blizzard has no longer been able to handle the game.

I wish that more quality of life improvements were introduced with this remake/remaster. Just a few more small changes could have rectified some annoyances that stem from it being a 20-year-old game. As it stands, it’s almost too close to the original in all the wrong ways while missing multiplayer options that were removed for no reason.

Despite excellent graphics restoration, Diablo II: Resurrected won't give you the feel of the "good old days". Couple of cheerful evenings at max.

Diablo II Resurrected is an impressive remake of the classic game that manages to elevate the beloved experience of the original in virtually every way. The game's improvements in graphics and sound design, combined with its cross-progression feature, make it a must-play title for fans of action RPGs. While it does have its shortcomings, such as its outdated design elements, it still delivers a captivating and satisfying experience that is sure to keep veterans and newcomers coming back for more.

Diablo II: Resurrected recreates the best parts of the original game with a fresh coat of paint. However, the core gameplay design feels a bit dated.

This resurrection won’t convert you into being a fan if you didn’t like the original D2, but if you’re coming from that game, you’ll enjoy the ride.

The smell of death surrounds me ...again. Diablo II is back with great new graphics and cutscenes. Amusing for old players, less attractive for younger generations.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is a great remake of a real classic. It looks and feels just how I remember it from playing in the early 2000s, but with cooler lighting and sharper graphics. It has a few control issues with when using a controller, but it's still a must-play for anyone who used to play it and misses it, and a strong recommendation to anyone else who likes action RPGs, dark and grim atmospheres, or who just wants to experience a treasure from the now distant past.

‎Its main flaw is that it may be a game focused on fans and ‎‎not so open to new players.‎‎ All in all, I think anyone who enjoys ARPG will find in Diablo 2: Resurrected a game that they can enjoy enormously, and it is certainly a recommended purchase.‎

Diablo 2: Resurrected is the definitive experience of the title, improving just enough to further enhance the masterpiece that it already was. We have before us a graphically polished game that has nothing to envy of new generation titles. We will enjoy hours more than enough with the main campaign, with the expansion and repeating the game over and over again to be able to try all the classes that we have available. It is a must have in your collection despite the fact that we do not find any substantial playable improvement in relation to the original game.

Diablo 2: Resurrected brings a beloved classic up today's graphical standards, but it overlooks 20 years of obvious flaws. It's still a very satisfying action RPG, but you couldn't get away with these problems a decade ago, much less today.

This is primarily for those who whittled away many a night in front of their PC two decades ago raiding dungeons, bludgeoning skeletons, and swimming in glorious loot. A remaster for archival purposes if you will. The only modern stain on the original tapestry has been the online issues that plagued the game’s launch, but even those will be but a distant memory before long.

‎Diablo II Resurrected manages to give a new breath of life to the classic of 2000 with a new graphic layer of the highest quality and some tweaks in elements that make it more comfortable to play, but that do not modify its essence. And most importantly, its excellent arrival on consoles has made the title more accessible than ever. Vicarious Visions has once again proven that they are one of the best studios when it comes to remastering these classics, and we hope that they manage to stay out of the spiral of terror that is currently ravaging Activision-Blizzard.‎
