Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Reviews
I fell in love with the first Monster Hunter Stories, and that led to a renewed interest in the Monster Hunter series as a whole. I never dreamed we’d be getting a sequel, let alone one that would improve on the original as much as Wings of Ruin did.
Without a doubt, the new journey is a glorious and charismatic entry to the celebrated franchise. Despite the performance issues, I had a lot of fun with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. With an expansive universe, this spin-off is an excellent RPG adventure for the Nintendo Switch, recommended for anyone who loves turn-based battles or anyone looking for a captivating plot.

Monster Hunter Stories was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS, and although it didn’t really take off over here, it’s back with its sequel – Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Was this a welcomed addition to the Switch library? Read on to find out.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin improves on nearly every aspect of the original all while providing a charming story and plenty of Monsties to gather and fight alongside.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is the perfect example of a game I didn’t know I needed.
Hatching Monsties and battling alongside them against bigger monsters is very fun and pulls its weight more than the lackluster story
This sequel is very similar to the first chapter in terms of feel and structure, but that does not mean that it is not a valid and better game: those who have enjoyed the first will surely love Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a great and charming RPG with a similar, addicting gameplay loop as the main series. While the game drags a little in the middle, it's worth seeing through to the end and beyond.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is confirmed as a solid and enjoyable JRPG, as well as a respectful spin-off to the main series from which it is drawn. The product boasts an incredible variety of arrows (both in terms of monsters and equipment), a more engaging story than the original and above all an attractive and less childish visual rendering.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is even more enjoyable than the original. Small and meaningful improvement build on the same addictive formula and rewarding battle system, with an endearing story to boot that'll hook in any fan of the franchise. The current state of the Switch version is a shame, but if you can get past the problems, Wings of Ruin has a lot to offer.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 is an interesting story and lots of content. The game will provide gameplay for several dozen hours of fun... And I hope to open a series of Stories – I'm happy to know more stories in this world.

Despite the cliché story scenario, the game does have its surprising moments that can get you emotional rather quickly. At the end of the day, I believe Wings of Ruin's lighthearted narrative is perfectly suited for a Monster Hunter game that's all about hatching monsters to help you hunt the same monsters.
New hunt and adventure with big monsters can amuse Switch and PC players as well.

MONSTER HUNTER STORIES 2 presented a fun and beautiful fighting system and a fascinating world with a very nice cartoonish drawing. Its biggest drawback was the repetition of discovery areas, trenches and online, but all of this did not prevent me from enjoying it, as it gave me a very nice experience as a fan of the series, and the addition of new content each month is keeping things fresh.
