Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a fantastic sequel that is filled with fantasy tropes. This monstrous game will keep you busy for hours. With many layers, it is a complex but fun beast to master.

I adore so much of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, from being able to play as an undead lich, to how the story adapts to that choice like you're playing through an incredibly detailed dark fantasy book. That's why I'm almost devastated by the game's lack of polish. It's unbalanced, there's bugs that forced regular restarts, and the console UI isn't suited to managing a crusade, which isn't as interesting as kingdom management. If this is your kind of game, you're better off trying to play on PC. Otherwise, you can join me in enjoying the game despite itself, or play Kingmaker until this has had some significant patches.

A staggering amount of content makes Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous an easy choice to recommend for those who have a lot of time to invest. An interesting narrative and player choices that define the outcome, this is a tale that is well worth experiencing.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is otherwise a fantastic PC experience that is sadly a slog on consoles due to clunky controls and a cumbersome interface.

A competent re-release of an already content-packed, epic fantasy RPG that plays great with gamepads.

The console version of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous shows us one mor time why it is one of the most played games on PC. A story that hooks you from the start, a good adaptation to the Xbox controller and a classic RPG system give us a very entertaining title.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has one of the most interesting cast of characters and gripping stories I’ve played in a good, long time. It hooked me from its opening moments and despite some misgivings and frustrations with its controls and mechanics, it’s a CRPG that will stay in my rotation and remain with me for years to come.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous represents not only a significant improvement over its predecessor, but an enormous and sophisticated CRPG that players with a hankering for epic adventure and narratives will surely enjoy. Though it still isn't quite as polished as it needs to be and is complicated enough that genre newcomers might struggle with its information packed menus, largely text driven dialogue and detailed mechanics, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is nonetheless a vastly epic, incredibly entertaining and meaty adventure that is deserving of your time.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Enhanced Edition was already one of the best RPGs on PC, and on PS4, there's virtually nothing else like it. With an enthralling narrative, evocative world, and nearly endless build variety and replay value, Wrath of the Righteous is a glorious game to get lost in for whole weeks at a time.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a beautiful CRPG with solid mechanics, but for any player that is less than a veteran of the genre, it's a sloppy, soggy mess of an experience that kills any desire to learn more.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a strong entry in the cRPG genre that stays mostly faithful to its tabletop source material. It offers a combination of solid gameplay mechanics, an engaging narrative, and a variety of character customizations that will appeal to character-building fans.

Wrath of the Righteous is an extensive and ambitious RPG with plenty of spectacle, but a bloat of gameplay systems and unrefined ideas weigh down the experience.

With the Fifth Crusade, Owlcat Games has unsuccessfully attempted to create an expansive and immersive world. The overworld army combat and city building are merely copies of systems that are done better in other games, and it all ultimately ends up being a bunch of time-consuming rigamarole that destroys the pacing of the core RPG experience. Sometimes less is more.

Wrath of the Righteous is a deep, engaging, faithful recreation of the tabletop campaign with only minor flaws. Its Crusade system is imperfect and the learning curve is more of a mountain, but the reward for getting through both is a long experience with incredible replay value. I know I will be replaying a few times soon, and I invite you to do the same.

We're not going to lie to each other, Pathfinder won't be accessible to everyone. Far from being sexy at first glance, you will have to overcome its apparent difficulty to fully enjoy this C-RPG with multiple arguments. Because the latter is provided with assets that, if not revolutionary, make it a quality game by developers in love with the genre, without a doubt. So sit back and take the time to savor the story for several dozen hours.

If you want combat, go play Solasta. If you want narrative, wait for Baldur’s Gate 3. You may consider buying Pathfinder: WotR on a future sale since it might have its issues fixed by then.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a faithful adaptation of the tabletop game, and a direct improvement from Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The army management system is more hands-on than the kingdom management of the previous game, but it’s a less fulfilling experience. Fans of fantasy RPGs like Baldur’s Gate, Tyranny, or tabletop RPGs would be well-served to give this game a chance.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is an enormous isometric RPG that builds on its predecessor with a lot of depth and a strong turn-based combat option.
