Severed Steel Reviews
It might be a bit too short, and its UI could have been reworked, but I didn’t mind. I had a blast with Severed Steel‘s ultra fast-paced movement-based shooting, complete chaotic vibe and endlessly replayable arcade mode. If you are looking for a game that just drops into a map and tells you to have fun with it and its mechanics, then Severed Steel is an easy recommendation.
And it is this gameplay that makes Severed Steel a must play for fans of dynamic shooters. Thanks to the combination of solutions associated with SUPERHOT and parkour stunts to force the player to be in constant motion, a miracle has been created that triggers in everyone hidden layers of skill that we often have no idea about. We feel like a perfect killing machine here. As I said at the beginning; is one of the best shooters of the year, which is far too quiet.

What it lacks in narrative, Severed Steel makes up for it in the gameplay department. It’s fast, it’s frenetic, it’s vibrant and by golly, is it fun. There’s no greater pleasure in somersaulting over goons to air out their brain cases in glorious voxel violence. Switch off the lateral thinking and engage those cat-like reflexes.
Severed Steel is a remarkable action title, where we will not stop moving and shooting for a second in chaotic scenarios full of adrenaline.

Severed Steel is a high-octane parkour FPS that combines slow-motion combat with exhilarating speed but does the game provide smashing success or did it fail to go out with a bang? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Severed Steel is able to carve its own path, too, using these focused and thorough systems to create a first-person shooter that’s as fast as it is fulfilling.
Severed Steel is a brutally fast and unforgiving FPS. You must use your special powers to slow down time, kill your enemies, and be victorious. Though many of the stages are short, there are plenty of reasons to return. With smooth and unusual gameplay, this is a bizarre but moreish title to tackle.
Severed Steel aims straight for the 'head' for non-stop fun and action.

Sometimes you run into games where you cant help but feel they're a bit of a victim of the timing...
Severed Steel doesn't exist in a vacuum. It exists in a world where Neon White (to say nothing of Max Payne and Superhot) not only also exist, but are much, much better options if you want this kind of gameplay. With competition like that, Severed Steel doesn't quite match up.
Severed Steel assaults many of your senses and rewards your bullet dodging, slow motion ballet dancing with satisfying kills while caressing your eyes and ears with the striking visuals and soundtrack it presents to you.
Severed Steel will be a massive video game for a narrow group of gamers. If you love perfecting a plan and then spending as much time as needed to both car3efully and quickly execute it, you will love this experience. Running on a wall, diving through a window, all the time dodging enemy attacks, only to then slide and kill two enemies before finding a safe space is a fun time.
It is total destruction and non- stop action. We wish we had been able to enjoy it much longer.

Severed Steel was a pleasant surprise because of its gameplay which, in addition to being extremely fun, is also very well made. The campaign and and the challenges complete this package with a considerable amount of content. If you are a fast-paced FPS fan, Severed Steel is a title that needs your attention.

Severed Steel‘s campaign may be short, but it’s very sweet. And the high-octane nature of its action is intoxicating, meaning you’re likely to engage with firefight mode and perhaps even play through the campaign again with Mutators active. A single-player only experience, those who like waging war while feeling like a badass will be in their element here. It’s an absolute blast from beginning to end.
The acrobatic shoot-fest known as Severed Steel is, without any exaggeration, tons of fun. Sadly, while it could be one of the genre's classics, it is barebones in terms of content. There simply aren't many things to do here, and there's almost no incentive to go back to it. It needs a better campaign, more varied weaponry, enemies, as well as some extra stuff, be it power-ups, or alternative game modes. Or at least a better price-tag…
If you are looking for pure entertainment when playing a video game, then Severed Steel does a very good job at giving you that. But if you are looking for something more than just entertainment, you may not be fully satisfied.

Although it's a very brief experience, every single level sent adrenaline into my veins. If you can find a game that makes me feel as jazzed as Severed Steel, savor every moment.
Severed Steel was fun to play, but I couldn't recommend it at its current price in its present state.
Severed Steel is a rapid-pace first-person shooter that demands quick reflexes and creative thinking to blast your way through the minions of a nefarious mega-corporation wreaking havoc in a dark future.
