Back 4 Blood Reviews
Back 4 Blood fills a zombie-starved hole in the heart for many, where the thrills of Left 4 Dead meet the modern era of gaming.
Back 4 Blood has built on the great foundations that Left 4 Dead laid over a decade ago. The gameplay is brilliant, there's also that little bit more to keep the challenge fresh and to keep zombie killing fun.
But for what it is, Back 4 Blood proves that what made Left 4 Dead good is still a lot of fun, even if this new iteration doesn't make use of every innovative convention to spring up since the series' original release. And there's something to be said for aging gracefully and not shoehorning in everything at once. As the old plastic surgery adage goes, sometimes it's best not to remake but maintain.
Back 4 Blood offers fun co-op action with a bit bumpy start and not always successful balancing.

Back 4 Blood is another great multiplayer zombie game, but some serious balance issues force it to stumble out of the gate.
You'll find a lot of fun in Back 4 Blood. Turtle Rock Studios managed to take something that was old and give it enough of a touch-up to make sure we recognized it but played with it differently. It's fun to hop on with your friends and blast away the zombies and compete to potentially take out the Cleaners, but you have to get past the first half of the game to get to the best parts. It doesn't help that the story gives you nothing to cling to, but once you get past those parts, the tension and excitement kick in. But sadly, playing solo hardly gives you anything like what you get playing online and with friends.
Back 4 Blood is Left 4 Dead in everything but name. Delivering tense co-op zombie-shooting action, it's the true spiritual successor to Turtle Rock's classic franchise.
People think Back for Blood is a successor to Left for Dead, but in fact, it is more of a hardcore cooperative game such as GTFO than an exciting zombie shooter. The challenging difficulty and unique "card deck" system are good factors that make the game fun, but there is also a contradiction that it is very difficult to feel this fun in a random matching situation where communication is not free. It's a game that gives good fun, but the conditions for the fun are very strict.

Back 4 Blood is one that I’ll be playing for a long time to come. Turtle Rock Studios has committed to improving the game, both through new content and patches. And I trust that they’ll right most of the wrongs with their latest zombie-slaying simulator. It may feel light on content, and you’ll need a team of people if you want to make any actual progress, but hop on board now, and you still be pleasantly surprised at just how fun Back 4 Blood can be.
Back 4 Blood offers something for everone. It modernizes and refines the beloved gameplay of Left 4 Dead and offers a new card based system to help players build unique and interesting playstyles while a progression system tied solely to gameplay ensures players will keep coming back for more zombie killing mayhem!
Back 4 Blood is exciting, terrifying and often seriously stressful. Like its esteemed predecessors, there's plenty here to encourage repeat play. Here's hoping they reinstate Versus mode to complete the package.
While marred by useless bots, an unnecessary multiplayer mode, and some reused assets; Back 4 Blood is an excellent new take on the 4 player co-op shooter genre.
Turtle Rock Studios has once again created a fantastic co-op shooter with Back 4 Blood. The game is good when playing solo, but amazing when playing with three friends. The gameplay, characters, and card system make the game dynamic and create another dimension for us to enjoy. These things are so great, making the cookie-cutter story and the repetitiveness of the environments just a bit more painful and unfortunately, these elements hold the game back.

With fresh new spins on familiar elements, Back 4 Blood brings the idea of team-based zombie-killing fun to a whole new generation with some caveats.
Fun shooting and gameplay as a service are the two pillars that define Back 4 Blood. If you want to spend time with it, you will find it a very enjoyable game for both you and your friends.

As a result, Back 4 Blood manages to provide a very fun experience when you play with your friends. I'd say it's a worthy experience for the Left 4 Dead series fans, which is considered the best of its kind. With its card system, competitive mission structure and fun gameplay, we have a game worth checking out.

In the end, I really enjoy playing Back 4 Blood’s campaigns. They’re just different enough from the Left 4 Dead formula and it offers a pretty satisfying challenge. The Swarm and solo modes could be a bit more rewarding, so hopefully Turtle Rock Studios addresses these soon. Overall, if you’re looking for a new co-op experience with some friends, you’ll likely have a good time with Back 4 Blood.
Back 4 Blood is a great evolution of the genre.
Back 4 Blood truly is the Left 4 Dead 2 sequel you’ve been waiting for. While it might be more difficult than the average zombie co-op, its unpredictable gameplay will have you coming back time and time again.
