Whereas the first DLC required you to have some familiarity with Vaas to fully appreciate the story elements, Far Cry 6 - Pagan: Control provides everything you need to understand Pagan and his inner turmoil. While most of us are not likely to become dictators, we can all understand the feelings of powerlessness and inferiority that Pagan faces when confronted with overwhelming personal loss.

‎The DLC Pagan Min: Control is another sign that Ubisoft wants to keep happy fans of the saga, or at least, those who were captivated by the story and the antagonist of past installments. In this case of Pagan Min, where we discover what has his mind tormented and the repentance with which he lives, as well as his version of the story. In terms of gameplay, it is a roguelike with different events, whether elimination or puzzle style, which seeks to entertain without more and test the patience and skill of the player.‎

‎Pagan: Control is an indispensable DLC for every lover of Far Cry 4, you will expand your knowledge about the antagonist of the game while fighting against his fears and psychological problems. This second DLC for Far Cry 6 improves markedly in its gameplay, but on the handsome side we find optimization failures and poorly elaborated side missions; eye, not all. The former is solved with an upgrade, the latter is hopeless, like the AI of common enemies. In terms of the graphic, sound, and artistic section, it ‎‎maintains an almost outstanding level,‎‎ with an extremely attractive and striking world from the first minute.‎

Far Cry 6 Pagan Control is a discreet DLC, which continues on the path traced by the previous Vaas Insanity without changing course in the slightest.

‎If you are able to forgive him that it is exactly the same as the previous DLC and you like the roguelite structure, with Pagan: Control you are going to have a great time putting yourself in the suit of one of the most interesting villains in the Far Cry universe.‎

Pagan: Control gives another glimpse of Far Cry 6 rogulite DLC action. The formula is basically the same as Vaas DLC, with the same strengths and weaknesses. A pretty solid gameplay experience burdened by lack of depth and variety.

It's just that it turns out that the road of "Roguelike" does not seem to fit well with the IP of "Far Cry".

As a psychological study of the inner workings of a tyrant’s mind, the new episode of Far Cry 6’s post launch content is quite fun specially if you are already invested in Far Cry 4 and its charismatic villain but on the gameplay side it is exactly like the last episode which is a little disappointing as the developers could’ve designed a new style more in tune with the new protagonist.

Artistically valuable and able to provide an intriguing additional perspective to the story of Far Cry 4, Control is a DLC that adds nothing or subtracts from the playful experience of the first content of the Season Pass.

Far Cry 6's second DLC pack is an interesting look at a classic villain, but it lacks much variety and its roguelike elements clash with the series' free-form style that made the base game so enjoyable.

There is no doubt that fans who just want an excuse to shoot more things in Far Cry 6 or who are really looking to dive into Pagan Min’s background will be satisfied by “Pagan Min: Control.” However, it is disappointing that the DLC did not take the opportunity to create a more diverse experience than what came directly before it.

Pagan: Control remains a solid enough roguelite through new story elements but retreads old ground mechanically in what appears to be a troublesome pattern with Far Cry 6's DLC.

Pagan: Control is a fantastic look into the mind and history of Far Cry 4’s villain, Pagan Min. You certainly see how events from his past has shaped him into who he was.

Pagan: Control is a fantastic DLC. It offers an entirely different environment, that is unique to itself. It adds more depth to people who previously enjoyed Far Cry 4. The game looks stunning on higher graphics and next-gen consoles. The gameplay feels smooth, fast and action-filled at all times. Although, we do think that there could be more memories or events from Far Cry 4 for Pagan’s eyes that we saw as Ajay. You can play the DLC on co-op even if one of you owns the DLC.

Pagan: Control is… pretty good. It’s just a bit underwhelming as it retreads the formula from the first DLC, albeit with a different villain to play as that might be more or less to your liking. The roguelite idea seemed to make sense in Vaas’ insane mind, but just doing it again here diminishes some of that novelty. It’s like one good idea is being stretched across more than one DLC.

Pagan Min is a fascinating character, but the DLC does nothing to feel different from a lazy more of the same.
