As the final DLC in the season pass, Far Cry 6 – Joseph: Collapse can aptly be described as more of the same. There are no innovative hooks or remixes to the gameplay, and the story is competent, but it doesn't hit the highs of the previous installments. It's meant to fill in the gap between the prior games, but the story nuggets feel more like a retread than new insight into Joseph's character. It's a missed opportunity for a deep dive into Eden's Gate's charismatic leader.

Nonetheless, and even if it’s a reskinned copy of the two Far Cry 6 DLCs that came before it, there’s a lot of challenge in Joseph: Collapse. It might also be the most beautiful of the three, too, especially with its revelations and cabin experiences. It’s just a shame for Joseph Seed that he once again had to follow Vaas and Pagan Min–two characters whose internal monologues could never get old.

Far Cry 6 Joseph: Collapse is a brief, bland dive into one of the series' more forgettable villains.

The story of a false prophets having doubts about his plans and the way he went to achieve them is a very interesting one that is coupled with some hellish visuals, trouble is the gameplay is exactly what we experienced in the last two dlcs.

The Collapse DLC for Far Cry 6 is a great combination of Mindless Shooting, on the brink of Survival and Looking back at what went wrong. The ability of co-op once again is a great addition to a format like this, giving a better challenge and a better chance at making it out alive. Having its own flaws of being highly repetitive in terms of objective after a few runs, it does allow you to increase difficulty with 5 different levels.

Far Cry 6 Joseph Collapse is the last DLC of the sixth episode of the successful saga that puts us in the shoes of Joseph Seed, charismatic antagonist of Far Cry 5.

Looking back on the three parts of the Far Cry 6 season pass, it feels like something of a missed opportunity. While the roguelite genre really suited delving into Vaas’ mind, trotting out the exact same format for both Pagan Min and Joseph Seed feels rote, stretching the idea out as a means to an end. It would have taken much greater effort and time for Ubisoft to do so, but mixing up the genres, the structure and approach that each DLC took would have been much more impactful. Still, fans of Far Cry will likely get a kick out of the expanded exploration of each character’s tale.

The curtain falls on the Far Cry 6 Season Pass, and not in the best way. Not particularly inspired on an artistic level, as well as endowed with a playful formula too similar to that of the first DLCs (and therefore less and less intriguing), Collapse is a content that closes the triptych of experiences in the minds of the villains with little determination.

Joseph: Collapse inherits the strengths and weaknesses of the previous DLCs to give us a third journey into fanservice that is not surprising but, somehow, gets away with it.

For Far Cry 6 players looking for a reason to play more of the game and just want more of its satisfying gunplay or enjoy the structure of the previous two DLCs, “Collapse” is an easy recommendation. However, players hoping for it to do a little more or introduce a unique aspect to the rogue-lite structure to reflect Joseph’s inclusion will ultimately be disappointed.

Far Cry 6: Collapse is the last of three DLC dedicated to the villains of the previous chapters of the series. This, like the other two, is based on continuous repetition and is only a re-skin developed with enormous laziness and without adding anything new. The judgment, given all the management of extra content, can only be extremely negative.
