While Saints Row IV: Re-elected does include all of the DLC released over the last year, consisting of a ton of costume and weapon packs and two campaign missions, if you already played SRIV the first time, there's little to really entice you to play it once more. The game hardly lent itself to replayability the first time around, save for a small desire to perhaps finish all of those side quests and activities even after completing the main campaign. If you've never played the fourth installment of Saints Row and you have a new generation console, then perhaps Re-elected will be worth your time and money, as long as you do not expect new generation-quality graphics. However, I cannot iterate enough that your time and money should only be invested if you like games that make fun of themselves, other games, pop culture, and never once takes itself seriously. Or, you should buy it if you loved it so much the first time, you can't wait to play it again on the new consoles. But if that was the case, I doubt you'd be reading this anyway.

Saints Row IV Re-Elected is a bumper bundle of joy whichever way you want to cut it. Anyone in possession of a last-gen copy need not upgrade though as there is no significant upgrade in technical terms to warrant a re-purchase on these grounds. For those new to it, you're in for a treat.

Newcomers to Saints Row IV will love the story, gameplay and customisation, as they still stand strong from the original iteration, however a complete absence of new content will leave previous owners of Saints Row IV reluctant to purchase again. I did find the game to be an unstable, crash-prone experience, so keep that in mind if you choose to purchase.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is a middling port that mixes thoroughly entertaining gameplay with the odd technical issue, including an imperfect frame rate. Those who love the series and can overlook the odd issue should still pick it up, but technophiles will likely want to stay clear.

The Saints' first experience on the current-gen consoles is a rousing success, with Saints Row IV: Re-Elected being one of the most fun games to release in a long time, as one can play across hours and hours of jolly mayhem.

So to sum it all up, if you are a fan of the series and feel like you need to get your jollies by picking it up for some giggles on your new PS4 or Xbox One, it's familiar enough to be fun but it feels just like the last gen version. The gameplay is still there. The signature smart-assery is still there. And all the characters you have grown to love or hate have nearly all returned for this crazy alien-killing campaign. But sadly, this update wasn't really much of an update, other than the fact that you can now play this game on the PS4 and Xbox One. The graphics feel last-gen, the addition of voice commands doesn't really even warrant mentioning, and overall it still felt like I was playing the exact same game from the last gen systems. So if you still have your PS3 or XB360, keep playing SRIV on those systems. It's just not worth the price of buying it again just to play the same game on your PS4 or Xbox One.

Saints Row IV is a farce about gangs running government and alien invasions, but its also a smart, ridiculously fun statement on one game developer's journey.

On the whole, there ARE performance gains in the move from the PS3 to the PS4, especially in the framerate department, but it's obvious that this hasn't been optimized. Compared to the work done for Grand Theft Auto V, with its new content, new view point and meticulously optimized performance, the work on Saints Row IV feels less accomplished.

Love it or hate it, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected's obsession with the ridiculous is what sets it apart from the rest of the market, and the PS4 re-release is the best way to experience the madness. Coupled with extra expansions (including Gat Out of Hell if you buy the bundle), there's plenty of value to the package, even if it doesn't take the opportunity to build upon the PS3 original. A blast from start to finish, the president's tale of vengeance is the stupidest fun that you can have on Sony's newest console, and we mean that in the best possible way.

Saints Row IV: Re-elected may score low in terms of its visual overhaul, but the game's ability to amuse and thrill is undiminished. This is a riotous experience that prioritises fun over everything else and thanks to the generosity of Volition it's bigger than ever, with five extra hours of gameplay in the form of previously-released DLC and the brand new Gat Out of Hell expansion. Not played Saints Row in a while? Give this one a bash.

Nothing much has changed in this pleasantly priced next-generation port, but its lunatic shenanigans are as entertaining as ever

Taking a bizarre concept and cranking it up to eleven, Saints Row IV is still one of the best open-world games ever made, a landmark in creative freedom unbound by the narrow halls of logic or coherence. Delivering a near-endless supply of side-content and addictive combat, Saints Row IV is ridiculously easy to recommend, but Re-Elected's limited enhancements and unwelcome technical issues keep this version from being the definitive version that it should be.

Gat out of Hell is a fun distraction but not one that we'd recommend buying on its own. However, if you never got chance to play the fantastic Saints Row IV first time around then this Re-elected/Gat out of Hell bundle is the best option available right now. It's just a pity that such a great game has received such a poor remaster.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is still the great game I played almost 2 years ago on the Xbox 360, and even on a 2nd playthrough it was still as fun as the first time I played it. The whole package is a great deal as you will get Saints Row IV with all the DLC's along with Gat Out Of Hell which equals a whole lot of Saints Row. Although the Re-Elected version of Saints Row IV has some improvements visually, they aren't of the quality we have seen in other Xbox One/PS4 titles.

If you've already played Saints Row IV, Deep Silver was clever in their release, and are offering a bundle with Gat Out of Hell. Unfortunately, this review isn't for the full combo with Gat, and by itself, Saints Row IV Re-Elected doesn't fully justify its campaigning for another term.  If it's your first time in office, however, then this is a great opportunity to jump in and take part in what is a pretty awesome open world super-powered (anti)hero game.

There are times when Saints Row IV feels like the greatest super hero game ever made and there are times when it feels paralyzed by all of its power. Even when Saints Row IV retreats into molds it's perfectly equipped to destroy, it's always operating under the some of the most ridiculous and hilarious context seen in a videogame. Humor sharpens Saints Row IV's experience, though it won't stop you from wondering of what it could have been with a bit more focus.

'Saints Row IV: Re-Elected' comes at a discount when compared to the release prices of its components, but that doesn't change what it is. It is a conversion, plain and simple, with a few hours of added gameplay that doesn't change much from the 'Saints Row IV' formula. There are some missed opportunities on the technical side that could have made for a smoother, prettier title. It is a good game and I can recommend it for newcomers, but returning players will find little of value unless they have dearly missed Johnny Gat.

Sometimes these remasters don’t go over to well but I think this one is a winner. Overall this game is still solid and if you haven’t played as a super powered Saint yet you really should.
