God of War Ragnarok makes use of cinematic techniques and skilled actors to tell its story of holding on and letting go. But it doesn't feel beholden to cinematic trappings. It's proud of its history and medium and plays sublimely as a result. With a focus on fun and flow, God of War Ragnarok's bloody and beautiful pieces fit together swimmingly.

God of War: Ragnarok is a fantastic title, building from its predecessor's already phenomenal combat, though the story wasn't everything that I hoped it would be.

God of War Ragnarök is truly excellent. Quality seeps out of the thing, with so much effort put into even its less consequential elements. Richly detailed, terrifically written, all with a massively entertaining blend of combat and puzzles. The overwhelming amount of content can most certainly grow tiring at points and there are moments of disruptive meandering. Nevertheless, for a game to offer so much and retain such a high caliber is worthy of applause.

God of War takes the essence of what it means to be mortal and packs it into this digital medium to form a bond with those who are experiencing it first-hand. I tossed myself at Ragnarök for a sense of escapism, and what I ended up receiving was a testament to life and what it means to live and be loved.

Basically, repeating a masterpiece is extremely difficult and to some extent impossible, and most numbered titles, whether in the medium of video games or cinema, lose their magic and sense of freshness after that first journey. Regarding the new God of War, it should be said that maybe this title is not as revolutionary or even magical as the 2018 title, but it definitely succeeded in all areas to perform better than the 2018 God of War and expand the same successful formula in the best possible way. it can be clearly said that it is a better title than the 2018 version

God of War Ragnarok doesn't reinvent the series, but it didn't need to, what we got is a masterful improvement on the previous game, with an engaging story and a more fluid combat that I wholeheartedly recommend to every fan.

I could go on and on about God of War Ragnarok, I really could. My closing thoughts continue to be about what an incredible journey this game is. It’s near flawless, in every way, and any criticisms are nit-picks, rather than genuine weak points. The Game Of The Year, right here, and to be honest, in my humble opinion, by a country mile.

Ragnarok works the kind of narrative miracles that the medium has no excuse not to follow suit on. This is the kind of love and care that’s not only possible for a big budget game, but deeply necessary.

God of War Ragnarök is magnificent. A true sequel that surpasses almost everything that the previous game had and more. It's grand story does not sacrifice any form of character development or subtlety and in fact somehow manages to enhance it. The fast and frenetic combat leaves you wanting more and every boss fight main story or otherwise leaves you on the edge of your seat.

God of War Ragnarök is a new demonstration of the might of Sony's internal teams. An epic, colossal sequel, but also sensitive and intimate, which not only improves on its predecessor in each and every one of the sections, but also saves its own cards to surprise the player at each new step.

Googling Ragnarok before “Santa Monica Studio” announced their sequel to the incredibly received God of War (2018), you’d see a flurry of Marvel references or even Wikipedia pages devoted to Norse mythologies version of the Apocolypse. Now you google Ragnarok, and most links, news, and images all refer to the incredible 2022 God of War: Ragnarok.

It’s hard to find much of anything to complain about when it comes to God of War Ragnarok. The complex characters and storyline provide a plethora of feelings. The developers have breathed so much depth and life into this series that previously focused on combat over narrative substance. There’s still plenty of violent combo-focused action, but the option for exploration and puzzle-solving balances out the mechanics and adds a bit of curve to the otherwise linear storyline.

Few games released in 2022, or any year for that matter, are as well designed and made as God of War Ragnarök. While it doesn’t completely move beyond its predecessor, it eventually offers enough fresh content to stand apart, and additional variety helps make it the stronger game of the two, even if it’s perhaps a bit less focused. A beautifully told story that carries the themes of the prior game while allowing Atreus to stand on his own kept my interest until the very end. If you didn’t care for 2018’s God of War, then Ragnarök won’t change your mind, but everyone else should absolutely check it out.

An incredible adventure from beginning to end, God of War Ragnarok is epic in scale and nuanced in character. Its combat and gameplay haven’t changed much but why fix almost peerless systems? Ragnarök is an absolute must-play on the PS5 and a worthy contender for Game of the Year.

God of War Ragnarok is what happens when developers actually care about fans criticism, and try their best to make some amends. in GOW: Ragnarok, gameplay has seen some important improvements; exploration and in general gameplay progress is faster, searching environment for loot is more optimal and backtracking is less annoying and variety is on another level. That being said, the core of the game remains intact. a great journey filled with epic cinematics, ample QTEs and lots of blockbuster elements. On the other hand, pacing issue is serious and over the shoulder camera make fights in the second half of game unmanageable because they are too crowded. If you liked God of War 2018, you're going to love God of War Ragnarok, but if you prefer a game that never let you put controler down then it might not be for you.
