MotoGP 22 is a "sidestep" for the series, in a year substantially of transition towards a more intense narrative of the race atmosphere, proposes a slightly more simulative riding model than last year, but with a too steep learning curve and some accessibility problems. Anyway NINE Season 2009 is worth the ride, because is a brillaint take on narrative and documentary in a videogame.

Despite improving in some key aspects, MotoGP 22 still needs a better IA and could be more pleasing to the eye with its graphics. The Nine Seasons mode is a compelling one, still, and the game is recommended for all MotoGP fans.

By adding details that increase realism and a mode like NINE-Season 2009 to a solid game frame, MotoGP 22 takes an evolutionary step in the right direction. The general improvement compared to the past may appear less deep than expected, but those who love MotoGP will also love MotoGP 22.

MotoGP 22 is the best game in the series to date, but is hampered by its aging core design.

‎MotoGP 22 is a set-up that leaves a very good taste in its playable aspects. The driving feel is fantastic and the new modes bring some freshness. However, we are facing a continuous delivery in several aspects. Even with everything, it is still a reference that motorcycling fans will enjoy in style.‎

A documentary format worth expanding and repeating, more assists, and the same rough but rewarding racing.

Whether you just want to suit up and race the iconic MotoGP courses or are looking to relive the 2009 season in one of the finest historic modes ever in a racing game, you can’t go wrong with this year’s offering. No matter if you picked up last year’s game or not, MotoGP 22 is a worthwhile purchase that doesn’t need the typical caveats

All in all, MotoGP 22 is undoubtedly the best MotoGP game yet, but there’s still room for improvement. Numerous tweaks and additions result in a game that looks and plays better then ever, but it’s the introduction of the documentary-styled Nine Season 2009 that makes this a must for MotoGP fans, even if they own last year’s release.

Milestone continues to improve the gameplay formula of the franchise in this MotoGP 22. Although there is not much difference compared to previous installments, it has very interesting new game modes and a more tactical and decision-based gameplay. With all the official riders from this season and many other classics, MotoGP 22 is a great bet for motorcycling lovers.

MotoGP 22 might just look like another yearly (albeit competent) outing in Milestone’s long-running motorbike racing series, but the addition of the Nine Season 2009 mode, a jaw-dropping retelling and recreation of what’s considered the best season in bike racing history, makes it not only stand out from its peers and predecessors, but also turn it into an actual must-have for racing game enthusiasts.

While I understand that motorcycle racing in many areas of the world is still considered a niche sport, instead of sitting idly by and accepting that, Milestone is looking to change that by offering an excellent tutorial system to make the sport a bit more accessible through its licensed game. MotoGP 22 offers so much to the racing fan in terms of a deep career mode, the ability to relive some of the sport's history, a solid online suite of options, and the ability to create some fantastic logos and graphics with a powerful customization creator. MotoGP 22 is a title that should be in every racing fan's rotation of games, and it is finally a great year to make the leap for those who have been reluctant due to a lack of knowledge of the sport.

Tough to get into at first, MotoGP 22 soon starts to pay dividends once you get the hang of its tricky handling and various nuances. The superb 'NINE Season 2009' mode, meanwhile, is worth the price of admission alone.

It will not come as a surprise that I was left feeling disappointed by MotoGP 22 and I expect the same will be said by many players who have decided to give the world of Mot GP an attempt.

‎MotoGP 22 proves once again that Milestone are masters of motorcycling. This year's installment pays tribute to the 2009 season with a "documentary" style mode that is a success, accompanying the modes of last year forming the definitive experience for the MotoGP fan.‎

Although Milestone has cobbled together three similar games in a short period of time, there's no doubt that MotoGP 22 is the unchallenged number one. The game shines both on and off the track, especially the deep career mode and the successful story part based on the 2009 MotoGP season. Hesitant computer opponents, some lack of variety and dreary soundstage lower the experience a bit, but in the end the glorious driving feel wins.

MotoGP 22 accomplishes an incredible simulation in terms of playability, and only a few games will be able to replicate the authentic sense that we had when playing the game. However, several key things are lacking to make us thrilled with this year's edition. There's hardly any doubt that the series has reached a decent level; however, this year's improvements over the previous versions are still insufficient to consider this release a landmark.
