F1 22 is overall a particularly good racing game, offering a very satisfying on-track experience, with realistic handling and beautiful graphics, capturing in an entertaining way the extremely complex nature of the sport. There are problems, like the excessive monetization, but for better or for worse, Codemasters' proposal is a "one-way street" for fans.

When it’s all said and done, F1 22 is more than just another entry in the longstanding F1 series. The game is continuing a long legacy of racing simulators and so you might say that it goes from pole position straight to the win. This is the best Formula 1 game to date. There’s something in it for everyone, from casual racers to seasoned professionals.
In summary, if you are going to buy F1 you should keep in mind that this is not a delivery that innovates in any way. Nothing beyond having an improvement in the controls. Honestly, I would recommend waiting for a later discount to be able to play this installment of the franchise that it should seriously consider if it want to take a real step forward next year.

Codemasters have dutifully updated their F1 template with the new car designs and the up to date roster of circuits whilst ditching the Story Mode for an entirely unrelated and pointless avatar clothes shop featuring microtransactions. While the racing itself remains superb, there's an increasingly hollow corporate veneer which undermines the core of the well-crafted game engine. I'd be inclined to stick with F1 2021 until the nouveau riche supercars and furnishings are jettisoned for 2023.
F1 22 is in a bit of a strange situation because while it doesn’t add drastic changes or updates to the game, it still is the best F1 game out there that’s as easily accessible to newcomers as well as F1-heads looking for a deep experience. One thing it adds is F1 Life, a lackluster experience when compared to Braking Point, which I would expect to make a return next year. Other than this, F1 22 will feel overly similar to last year, especially for casual players that won’t pay too much attention to the finer details and will simply enjoy the game for what it is – a fun and exciting racing experience. F1 22 is far from a bad game, but its current offering this year features a laundry list of changes that don’t do too much to change the overall experience unless you know what to look for. Some will like the consistency while others will rue the lack of updates, and it will really depend on how much these mean to you when thinking of that eventual purchase.

F1 22 is for all the die-hard fans of F1. You will be surprised if you played previous titles with how well the cars handle now and how much quicker you can get around the track. The supercars being added into the game does spice things up a little by being able to drive something else apart from the F1 or F2 cars.
A common knock on sports games nowadays is that very little seems to change on a year-to-year basis. That’s not the case with F1 22, as a new gameplay system that revolves around the new cars brings new challenges and a gameplay experience that differs quite a bit from past F1 games.
There were parts of F1 22 that left me thinking, why is this part of the game. However, mostly I was blown away. This could be because I haven’t picked up an F1 title in quite some time. But, I do feel that it had a lot to offer any F1 fans who are also gamers. This title is a perfect companion piece for any fan who enjoys the sport and for those who love a racing title. Comparing it to various other racing titles it did feel like it was on rails. However, on this occasion that is not necessarily a bad thing. Did I think it was the best racing game I have played, no? But is it one hell of a racing title, The answer is yes. I award F1 22 a Thumb Culture Gold Award
Given the big changes this year to F1, Codemasters have crafted an impressive technical showcase that is accessible to players of all skill levels.
The verdict, then, is that F1 22 should appeal to hardcore fans, who expect true-to-life fidelity in the vehicle performance, as well as more casually interested newcomers approaching this video game with a spectator’s curiosity. That blend of depth and accessibility is a hard needle for any sports developer to thread, and it rarely results in a transformative work. F1 22 isn’t one, but it didn’t need to be one — creating new cars, and the organic challenge of learning how to drive them on the limit, was transformation enough.
F1 22 maintains this series' run as the most fully-featured and accessible mainstream motorsport sim on the market, but the flashy new F1 Life mode feels largely pointless.
F1 22 is a flawed entry that has been tainted by its desperation to seemingly appeal to casual players. Even so, the driving mechanics carry the game, and it still manages to be a fun racing experience. Against all of the odds, F1 22 pulled through and is something worth playing.

F1 22 is once again crowned the king of Formula 1 games, being a continuous game and giving a series of improvements that, although they fall short, will satisfy both racing fans and car video game fans, but showing that this engine and this style is reaching its limit and a deeper change is necessary than only in the modeling and certain physics.

F1 22 continues in tracks as familiar as well-made. This year with even sharper graphics and physics. Last year's exciting story part is unfortunately deleted, and instead we get to play F1 star with luxurious watches and clumsy supercars. What a buy-down. Fortunately, the setting, career mode and, not least, the driving feel are top notch.
