Cult of the Lamb Reviews
"Cult of the Lamb" can convince more as an idea than as a product. Minor defects exist at all corners and ends. The balance of the game leaves much to be desired, and it seems as if the progress of the cult is almost twice as fast as intended for the story. Nevertheless, "Cult of the Lamb" captivates not least thanks to the look and the original setting. With around ten hours of play, it is without a doubt rather short for a roguelike adventure.

Cult of the Lamb is an incredible rogue-lite title. What's more, it is jam-packed with content and is addictive as hell. Though there are reports of glitches and bugs, I fortunately never experienced any. Consequently, it excelled in many elements and I loved it.
The folks at Devolver certainly have a type and know how to pick weird but excellent indies, striking gold again
In spite of all of its faults, Cult of the Lamb is a strong showing for the genre that proves small heroes can do great things.

Cult of the Lamb deserves a place in your library with its perfect blend of both thematic elements and gameplay mechanics. It’s a stupendous balancing act that takes its roguelite elements and community management and starts out as something simple and accessible, then expands to a robust and complex game that keeps you coming back for more. Just like its cult themes, Cult of the Lamb draws you in with its creepy-cute charm, and even as chaos ensues, you watch it unfold like a slow-moving train wreck. When the shoe drops, you’ve realized that its tentacles have taken hold and you find yourself completely hooked on its dark and demented world.
Cult of the Lamb is a naughty and evil game that had me laughing and enjoying myself the whole way through. If you've ever dreamed of creating your own personal animal cult where it's perfectly fine to brainwash, cannibalize and unnaturally resurrect your followers—this is the game for you.
Cult of the Lamb is a perfect blend of roguelike and farming simulator which stands out because of the many original cultist elements. Massive Monster did an amazing job to immerse the player into this very dark world and it's just so much fun to play the lamb god. The game offers a good 20 hours of gameplay that I simply flew by and at a very affordable cost.

Cult of the Lamb shows that mixing management and dungeon crawling works extremely well if you know which better parts to take of each genre. It grabs you until the end. A fantastic effort by Massive Monster and one the team should be proud of.

Acting on those doctrines you've worked hard to bring in. Or should we say 'executing' them?
Cult of the Lamb proves to be a remarkably fresh take on the roguelite genre, not just in its goofy and creepy aesthetic, but in its smart blending of action and survival mechanics. Gameplay remains tense without ever feeling like it's unfair and a steady stream of unlockables and collectables ensure that your efforts are always rewarded. It's just a shame that the performance isn't up to snuff, at least at launch, as that's really the only major complaint that we have here. We'd still give this a hearty recommendation to anyone who thinks it might be up their alley; it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Cult of the Lamb proves itself to be a great new addition to the Switch library.
Cult of the Lamb is a twisted and successful balancing act. Even though its combat lacks some nuance, the game balances its roguelite dungeon crawler and management sim halves quite well.
Cult of the Lamb is a fun town-builder with an equally amazing dungeon crawler that never stops until the final boss is handled. Paired with a fantastic-sounding soundtrack and sound effects, it's hard not to recommend this game to anyone.
The fact is that even when Cult of the Lamb presents certain issues, it is hardly ever long-lasting or impairs you from enjoying the gameplay loop for a significant amount of time. By bringing together the enjoyable elements of farm sims and action-adventure roguelites and creating an environment where they enrich each other, this game is simply one for the ages. Taking care of others and slaying all those that oppose your way of life never felt this great, and that is the magic of this particular cult that should attract everyone and anyone.
The game can make players feel a variety of emotions ranging from pure joy to depression. Random characters you meet along the way tales can have you feeling heartbreak. The betrayal or the death of a beloved cult member can leave a void that only monster slaying can satisfy.
A stunning example of simple, well-executed game that leans into the cult theme really well
Excellent visuals, a bold and impressive mix of gameplay styles, a wonderful soundtrack, randomized character interactions, and hilarious dialogue come together to make Cult of the Lamb an intrepid adventure.
Cult of the Lamb, it's a 2x1. Part roguelike and part management sim, neither half feels fully developed on its own and provides little challenge. However, the synergy between the two halves is undeniably attractive, and the art style is downright adorable. Without a doubt, they are more than enough reasons to enter this macabre universe.

Cult of the Lamb is a game that is much more than the sum of its parts. Taken on their own neither the combat nor the cult management would be strong enough to carry the title, but together they form a compelling whole that's then further enhanced by the delightful art style and pervasive sinister tone. It's evil and wonderful and more than a little unhinged. It's also one of the most impressive games of the year.
Massive Monster has achieved a near-perfect balance between management game and roguelite with Cult of the Lamb.
