The fact is that even when Cult of the Lamb presents certain issues, it is hardly ever long-lasting or impairs you from enjoying the gameplay loop for a significant amount of time. By bringing together the enjoyable elements of farm sims and action-adventure roguelites and creating an environment where they enrich each other, this game is simply one for the ages. Taking care of others and slaying all those that oppose your way of life never felt this great, and that is the magic of this particular cult that should attract everyone and anyone.

Cult of the Lamb shows that mixing management and dungeon crawling works extremely well if you know which better parts to take of each genre. It grabs you until the end. A fantastic effort by Massive Monster and one the team should be proud of.

Cult of the Lamb is a perfect blend of roguelike and farming simulator which stands out because of the many original cultist elements. Massive Monster did an amazing job to immerse the player into this very dark world and it's just so much fun to play the lamb god. The game offers a good 20 hours of gameplay that I simply flew by and at a very affordable cost.

Cult of the Lamb is an incredible rogue-lite title. What's more, it is jam-packed with content and is addictive as hell. Though there are reports of glitches and bugs, I fortunately never experienced any. Consequently, it excelled in many elements and I loved it.

Unless you’re a well-meaning-yet-misguided parent from the 80s who magically found themselves transported to the year 2022 (in which case there are other things I would be worrying about), you really have zero reason not to play this game. Cult of the Lamb is the evil-worshipping, cult-building, god-slaying video game with a perfect creepy-cute aesthetic that I never knew that I wanted—and I’m so incredibly glad that it exists.

Cult of the Lamb was one of those games that I just couldn’t put down. I completed it in about seventeen hours, but each time I played it started as intending to play for an hour and then not realizing that hours had passed. The combat is fun and always feels fresh. The base-building aspects give tons of choices in how you grow. More important, Cult of the Lamb ties these together in a way that kept me wanting that next improvement or to defeat the next stage.

Cult of the Lamb is a very complete game, full of life, enemies, rituals and loads of activities to do and places to explore. The cult creation theme fits perfectly with the rogue-like idea and manages to make a surprisingly positive mix-up. Despite some bugs and glitches that can easily be fixed through small updates, the whole contrast between the positivity of the characters and the village environment combines very well with the negativity of the rituals and the creatures that want to kill us. This makes Cult of the Lamb an excellent game and recommended by us.

Cult of the Lamb is a fantastic new indie title from Devolver Digital that revels in the absurd nature of its setting. The art style is amazing, and generally, everything about the premise and atmosphere is phenomenal.

Cult of the Lamb wonderfully fuses together management simulation elements with fast-paced action roguelite combat. If the colourful artwork alone isn't enough to entice you to try out this phenomenal game, then the fantastic narrative about indoctrinating cute animals into your cult might just do the trick.

The folks at Devolver certainly have a type and know how to pick weird but excellent indies, striking gold again

Cult of the Lamb is perfect example of an innovative indie that proclaims to be one genre, but assumes multiple identities and delivers. The game's charming yet disturbing theme lends you freedom to play as you want, and have your actions make sense on the lore-front. Yes, this roguelite is most likely the easiest and most accessible compared to its competitors, but that accessibility comes at a cost of some gameplay, like combat, lacking depth and complexity for genre veterans. Knowing all of this, should you sacrifice your time to the altar of The One Who Waits? To this, we say yes.

‎Cult of the Lamb is a game that exceeded any expectation of the players, it is a round experience that fulfills what it promises, in addition to establishing a successful mix in two genres of video games that normally do not fit together very well. It's flawed, it's not perfect; most of them are about things that were half-finished, because it is a very simple game in many sections, so that depth that seems to have is only that of a glass.‎

I’m a big fan of roguelite action games and city builders, but even if you’re on the mild side, Cult of the Lamb is a winning combo. It draws many of the best aspects of those genres, places them in a one-of-a-kind world, and charts its own condensed course.

Reaching that flow-state where the game's many interlocking systems are firing on all cylinders is well worth putting up with any hardships along the way. With proper support moving forward, Cult of the Lamb has all the potential to grow into something truly special from this foundation, much like you can on the journey contained within.

Cult of the Lamb offers an addictive mix of satanic management and occult action, sprinkled with cartoonish humor and adorable visuals.

Cult of the Lamb doesn't just surprise and delight with its visual prowess and unflinching cultist motifs, it also hooks you with its addictive and adaptive gameplay loop. There's not a dull second as you move through two equally important and varied genres of game that mesh beautifully together to create a unique and captivating experience. A lack of end-game content may disappoint some colony sim fans, though it ultimately does little to sour what is a genuinely novel game that knows exactly what it wants to be.

Cult of the Lamb is yet another pleasant surprise from Devolver Digital: the roguelike and social simulation has made handling a cult not only fun and appealing, but adorable as well.

Cult of the Lamb has all the elements it needs to succeed in the modern action and rogue space. All combat mechanics are tight, the premise is weird but easy to grasp, and almost every action the player engages in has a clear payoff. I like the way being a good cult leader makes it easier to deal with combat sequences, powering a cool feedback loop.

The Word of Cult of the Lamb is good, providing roguelike action with heaps of that good ol' fashioned ultraviolence. Those that don't mind a lack of depth with its cult management shenanigans - and can also turn a blind third eye to its hit-and-miss weapon selection - have found their calling.
