Once you get into that Rollerdrome zen state it's hard to pull yourself away. Easily one of the best indie games of the year and a must-play for PlayStation and PC fans alike.
As a whole, I can’t stress enough how impressed I was with Rollerdrome. Roll7 perfectly picked up two completely different gameplay loops and mixed them together in a cohesive and addictive title with a shockingly intuitive control scheme. It’s fast-paced, it makes you feel cool as hell while playing it, and it’s ridiculously addictive. It’s one of the perfect examples of creativity still looming in today’s seemingly tired and creatively bankrupt industry.
Extreme sports games used to be a genre of games that were all the rage back in the late 90’s to early 2000’s. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Mat Hoffman BMX and Aggressive Inline to name a few, each having varying degrees of success. However, these games sort of died out, mostly due to over saturation of the market.
In a year full of releases of immense quality, Rollerdrome exceeds expectations and brings an immensely creative and original experience that blends the action and sports genres as few have done before. So we have a game that, although small, brings with it a superb art style and difficult, yet fun and rewarding gameplay.

A Sublime mix of movement and combat that somehow manages unrelenting action with skillful play, all while looking effortlessly brilliant. You need to get your skates on and try your luck in Rollerdrome.
Rollerdrome beautifully meshes two very different genres and defies all expectations coming into it. The style practically drips out of the screen as Roll7 delivers one of the most unique and exciting games in recent memory.
Rollerdrome is a fantastic first foot forward. I adored the campaign gameplay and have a feeling my friend group will use this unique title for late-night scoring competitions.

Despite its lack of cooperative or PVP gameplay, I don't think it's hyperbolic to say that this is an essential game for 2022. Blending two opposing styles into an expertly executed bullet ballet, Rollerdrome's future is anything but dystopian.
Rollerdrome is an incredible arcade shooter that combines fluid movement with addicting mechanical loops which encourage you to pull off visually appealing stunts with ease. Though your mileage may vary be you a high-score chaser or not, it never fails to be fun, and Rollerdrome is more than worth a look for any arcade shooter lover.
Roll7 is to be applauded for putting together this unique shooter skater game. I really dug the 1970s vibe of the game both in the art direction and especially the score. This makes the game stand out aesthetically from other games. The only nit I have with the 2D art style, is that it makes judging jumps difficult due to the lack of depth perception. With a little practice, I was able to acclimate to it. Rollerdome is a blast to play, tailored to appeal to players of all skill types.
Part shooter, part skater, Rollerdrome masterfully strikes a delicate balance as a well-executed, original and fresh mash up.
Rollerdrome is a solid action game that merges shooting and sports quite well. The blend creates loads of exciting moments that only seem to falter during boss fights. The number of levels and challenges feels just right. The concessions made for all skill levels is appreciated, and the presence of leaderboards and a bonus campaign ensures that there's plenty of incentive to keep people playing. Overall, Rollerdrome is a great title for those looking for something different.
Rollerdrome is addiction and adrenaline in its purest form, one of those games with a style as unique and personal as you don't usually see. The premise of mixing extreme sports with a shooter is great, to which is also added enough and varied content to encourage you to continue playing over and over again. Highly recommended.

Rollerdrome is, in my opinion, one of the beautiful nuggets of 2022. The gameplay is very well balanced despite the absence of a modifiable difficulty. The actions that we follow offer a real satisfaction as well on the sound level as on the visual level. On this level, the artistic direction allows the title to stand out while the technique offers a fluid and spectacular experience. Roll7's new license should undoubtedly appeal to fans, but also to all players who want to impress the world with online rankings. While the basic premise is simple enough, the overall experience is diverse enough to rarely feel like you're doing the same thing. I say rarely, because in the end it's true that you start over and over again the same levels to increase your score on them. However, in my opinion, this is a very small flaw for a very high quality experience.

Rollerdrome is the love child of chaos and style, fast-paced action with a bright and vibrant comic book art style that never felt so good. Depending on how fast you adapt to the madness, you could be in the endgame building montage-worthy gameplay and competing for ultimate bragging rights within the first day. If you wanted to take it a bit slower, the list of challenges to revisit and the assist menu let you tackle the game at your own pace. Either way, Rollerdrome is an incredibly exciting experience and a fine addition to the PlayStation library.
Rollerdrome is everything fans of extreme sports and violent action games could want. The action is frenetic, visually delightful and incredibly fun, and there are few things more satisfying than stringing together various tricks and pirouettes while taking out hostiles with shotguns aimed at your head. There are some problems that generate occasional moments of frustration, and some decisions that end up not making the most of the concept of this game. But nothing stops Rollerdrome from being an experience as captivating as it is stylish, which is a delight to watch and to play in equal measure.

Rollerdrome is a marvel both in terms of design and gameplay, but its narrative aspect is forced to tell nothing, so its ending ends up being a bit bit bitter. Still, it's worth every second of its gameplay.

I really appreciate how you can tweak the settings so the game is as hard or as easy as you would like but either way, you cut it, the game is awesome and a must-play!
Developer Roll7 excellently mixes high-scoring skating gameplay with shooter ideas to make a hybrid game that's tough to put down.
