Resident Evil 4 (2023) Reviews
Biohazard RE:4 quickly put to rest any remaining concerns of remaking from its previous work. It is safe to say the game struck the perfect balance of action and horror, and deserves to be called as a RE: TPS Masterpiece. It is not sure that the game will recreate the glory of the original in the end of the year, but the fact that the game is one of the best titles in this year remains unchanged.

I didn’t think we needed a Resident Evil 4 remake. I guessed that Resident Evil 4’s remake would look nice and play well, just as the other recent remakes. But what I didn’t expect was a game that not only recreates the original but also builds on it in smart and interesting ways to create something different and better than the classic.
Resident Evil 4 is an incredible remake, with some of the best gameplay in the genre and lots of improvements compared to the original but a wonky aiming system on controller and some changes leave to be desired.

Whether you're new to the series or a longtime fan, Capcom has done a great job with this remake. Despite a few minor issues, it's a polished AAA horror game that's worth playing.
Resident Evil 4 Remake comfortably sits atop every other release this year with its excellent action, memorable characters, ridiculous replayability, and insane one-liners. RE Engine continues to look phenomenal, and Leon and Ashley have never been better. The remake does a brilliant job of becoming a modern example of improving upon perfection.
While the visual upgrade alone is a good enough draw to relive one of Capcom's all-time elites, Resident Evil 4 remake brings a wealth of new tweaks that contribute to a perfect reimagination. Even with deeper character development and extended gameplay, it still retains the original's charm through intense scares and goofy B-movie-like scenarios that never feel too old. The new knife mechanics tighten the core gameplay by adding an element of resourceful survival horror to an otherwise frenzied action-heavy affair. With the free, wave-style Mercenaries mode dropping next week, there's no better time for long-time fans or newcomers to jump in and experience the horrors awaiting in the iconic claustrophobic European village setting of Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is an outstanding release that takes one of the best games of all time and somehow makes it even better. The stunning visuals, the combat enhancements, the improved AI across allies and enemies, the refined boss encounters, and the new additions – they all come together to make Resident Evil 4 Remake the most impressive release in the series to date and a jaw-dropping experience as a whole. Whether you’re a newbie to the series, a returning veteran, or simply want to see what all the fuss was about in the first place, it’s hard not to be blown away by everything Resident Evil 4 Remake offers. Here’s hoping Code Veronica gets the same treatment soon…
Resident Evil 4 Remake is a calamitous call back that welcomes all horror fans with a gruesome greeting of grisly gaming, that's impact will certainly be felt upon RE's promising prospects.
"Resident Evil 4 Remake" is the strongest of the modern remakes in the franchise, staying pure to the heart of the game while modernizing it for 2023.
Capcom has brought us yet another excellent and thoughtful remake in Resident Evil 4 Remake that continues to show that series is in the best place ever, showing new and old generations alike how great and well worth the time this series is.
While not reinventing the wheel, the Resident Evil 4 remake offers a safe reimagining that emphasizes the series' action-packed nature over its horror elements.

Capcom's remake of Resident Evil 4 is an entirely new experience, shifting the focus from horror to action, which may not sit well with fans of the original. The remake, however, does an excellent job of restoring any concerns that may have been raised about it. Visually impressive surroundings, compelling cutscenes, and the new gameplay mechanism all contribute to the renewed appeal of Leon's saga.
Resident Evil 4 Remake remains as faithful as possible to the original title and yet, it's been improved in every imaginable way. Capcom has managed to Create a masterpiece from the ashes of another masterpiece, without cutting content or changing the original formula. There is no doubt that Resident Evil 4 Remake is the best Remake we have ever seen in this industry.

Resident Evil 4 Remake looks great on PS5, plays smoothly even with fancy hair effects turned on, has very few glitches, and is still a lengthy game that somehow gives you the urge to replay it as soon as it's over. It feels three times as large as the Resident Evil 3 remake, and is absolutely deserving of praise. It's also not as silly, not as unique, and not as necessary as the original. Resident Evil, RE2, and RE3 all benefited from an increase in graphical fidelity and modern controls. Resident Evil 4 didn't need it. Nor will RE5. Or RE6. Enough is enough, Capcom. Please stop.
I was excited for Resident Evil 4, and I’m happy to say the game lived up to the hype. RE4 offers a truly terrifying environment, tense gameplay, and an engaging story filled with great characters, and serves as a fantastic experience for fans both new and old.
18 years ago Capcom wrote history with Resident Evil 4 and revolutionized the genre. The need for a Remake left the community wondering if it is really necessary, which was put to rest with this sensational remake once and for all. The new story shines with graphical improvements all over the place and a flawless gameplay. Plot holes have been filled up with ease and the trashy charme of the original is nearly completely gone. This is the perfect version of this videogame masterpiece.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is an absolute must-play for fans of the series, and for anyone who loves survival-horror games. The updated graphics and improved gameplay mechanics make it an even more satisfying experience than the original, while still retaining everything that made the original game so great.
For a game that almost has as many different versions as Skyrim, this remake of the revered Resident Evil 4 has absolutely smashed it.
