The Good, the Bad and the Undead is Marvel's Midnight Suns Deadpool expansion - and it's as mad as you'd expect from the Merc with a Mouth.

The Good, the Bad and the Undead is just the first of four planned DLC add-ons, and it’s a great start. Deadpool doesn’t change up the main game, but the addition of a new enemy type and a host of new cards is a great way to bring lapsed players back to Midnight Suns. Anyone who enjoys Deadpool’s sense of ironic humor will enjoy this DLC. It makes an already engaging game just a little better.

Marvel's Midnight Suns - The Good, the Bad, and the Undead offers more of the core game but with a funnier character, one oozing with the personality we've all come to love across multiple forms (including Ryan Reynolds). While it's not the most extensive DLC, and I think the base price is high for what you get, the experience is good during the DLC missions, and you've then got a great character for life.

Marvel's Midnight Suns: The Good, The Bad, and The Undead DLC might scare off people with its $15 price tag for one new character and three new missions. The price is steep, even if the new enemies and Deadpool pop up in other side missions. The content is good and fits well with the established mechanics without getting too chaotic, and it is a nice introduction to a new story arc. For now, despite the score, you should probably hold off on this unless you already have the Season Pass or you're a huge fan of the Merc with a Mouth.

Marvel's Midnight Suns inaugural DLC episode does the Merc with the Mouth proud with a barrage of fun fourth-wall-busting antics, though we just wish there was a little more to his story than three brief missions.

Although Midnight Suns has its hits and misses when it comes to character development – I may have leveled up my friendship with Tony Stark, but I didn’t enjoy a single minute – the Deadpool DLC finds the mark well, emphasizing this character’s most annoying qualities while also letting his inner softie burst through. His playstyle in combat didn’t exactly blow my mind, but his personality was the real draw for me, and the writers got that part right. Firaxis has three more DLC packs on the way, each featuring a new character, and after Deadpool’s arc, I can’t wait to spend more time with the next weirdo who joins the squad.

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead is a strong first DLC showing for Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
