Metroid Prime is a true classic, and Metroid Prime Remastered is perhaps the best version of that game to date. The adventure remains as timeless, with a near-perfect mix of combat and exploration that continues to be compelling all these years later. The improvement to the graphics helps the game look even better than some modern releases, while the sound is richer thanks to being uncompressed. The various control methods are a saving grace, as what was once a good control scheme now feels awkward to use. This is well worth having in the game library of any Switch owner who loves a good adventure. If the rumors are true, expect this same level of care and quality if and when Prime 2 and Prime 3 come out in remastered form.
One of the best FPS games ever is back in a new version that brings not only visual updates, but also changes the geometry of the levels and brings other improvements. With all of this, it shows that Metroid Prime is simply timeless.

Still fun and exciting to play, despite some minor stiffness due to its age, Metroid Prime Remastered is a lesson. Yes, there are excellent remasters. And after this rediscovery of one of the most cult games of the Gamecube, we have only one thing in mind: where is Metroid Prime 4?

To conclude, I would say that Metroid Prime Remastered is in the top third of the best remastered games. It may not be as impressive a work as a remake like Dead Space, but it doesn't rank that way in either name or price. It gave me great pleasure to find this masterpiece 20 years later and it still holds up very well. It is one of the beautiful games on the Switch and the improvements make it even better. I highly recommend it whether it's your first trip to Tallon IV or not.

Metroid Prime Remastered is an already amazing game made almost a masterpiece by its shiny new upgrades. FPS combat is thrilling as you work arenas and rooms to your advantage with your diverse arsenal and suit upgrades. Traversing all of the many environments throughout is just as enriching. That remains true whether that's hunting through the environment, rolling in morph ball mode through small spaces in puzzle fashion, or taking in gorgeous views. All of the detailing and fidelity is improved exponentially, proving to be one of the most gargantuan efforts of a remaster. All that could still use additional touching up are tiny, relatively insignificant functions. A thoroughly enjoyable time is ahead of you, uncovering more and more secrets and oh-so-sweet lore. Metroid Prime Remastered is one for the books and how remasters should be moving forward.
Metroid Prime Remastered is a perfect example of how we should deal with classic games to remaster. Almost every aspect of the game including visual, control and convenience have been improved. The only drawback of this surprise present for those who long awaited Metroid Prime 4 is that now they are going to need much patient for the 2nd and 3rd title to be remastered.
