So, to finally put a nail in this coffin, I give this game 8.5 slain demons out of 10. Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is available on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and Steam. Remember, when you are playing the game and all else fails, switch to the shotgun!

Victor Vran is an RPG designed with players like myself in mind, those whom like the idea of an intriguing world but with no class based limitations on what they can and can't do. It's fun for 5 minutes tearing your way through enemies, chaining attacks together, yet suddenly hours have past and you'll still be happily swinging a mighty warhammer. The environments fit the style and steampunk theme of the game, though some do fade into the background – being somewhat unremarkable. Nevertheless, for the fun that is on offer Zagoravia is a city worth venturing in!

I wish I played it when it first released, as Victor Vran is easily one of the best ARPG games out there to date. Maybe even better than Diablo 3.

It will not satisfy the most demanding players, but if you're looking for a Diablo-like game with fun and mindless combat, Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is your game.

Victor Vran is a cut-price Diablo clone that has a really delightful sense of humour, superb production values, and genuinely entertaining gameplay.

In all honesty I am not sure where to start with Victor Vran. Back in July 2015 Pierre-Yves scored it well and said quite a bit that remains true nearly two years later. Victor Vran is an excellent hack-and-slash action RPG set in a Van Helsing-esque Victorian-era fictional world that has you playing the role of a Hunter and carries you through a number of sprawling dungeons full of spiders, skeletons, specters, and everything in between. Even two years after the original launch the magic of Victor Vran, while familiar, is still present.

Victor Vran is a title that initially feels like it's going to be more indie fodder but is much more than that. Despite the voice actors that were used, underneath a relatively bland story lies extremely addictive and highly enjoyable gameplay.

Whilst it doesn't have the same breadth and scope as Diablo 3, Victor Vran has some great gameplay, solid combat action and delivers a decent experience that's miles better than some Diablo clones out there. Worth checking out if you're looking for more action adventure monster slaying!

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is a robust, enjoyable dungeon crawler with satisfying combat mechanics, marred only by a single, game-breaking bug on Xbox One. This issue aside, Victor Vran is genuinely excellent.

Victor Vran Overkill Edition is a worthy addition to the genre. It doesn’t out-Diablo Diablo, but thanks to the care put into the levelling and loot systems, it is undoubtedly worth the time to explore.

Victor Vran is a great game to kill-time — since you have to keep on dodging, attacking, picking up loots, activating regeneration statues and the sort — and is really fun once you get the hang of it. It's got a lot of potential, too. Maybe balancing out the scaling system would be great. Graphics is solid, really made an impression on me. The fun and challenging aspect of Victor Vran covers what seemed to lack in its narrative.

Victor Vran almost does everything right but suffers from the same faults from just about every action RPG on the market. The story is uninspired, and unless you are planning to play with friends, you may have trouble finding other online players at your level. The combat system is enjoyable, as you test out different types of weapons. Even after completing the story, I had places on the map that I never unlocked. If you are a completionist, attempting to complete all of the objectives on every area will keep you busy for quite some time. Not to mention the allure of finding sick new loot, and the constant content being added to the game.

Sure, the replay value is somewhat disappointing, and, as a whole, this won't really threat the elites, but it's definitely on the right path for doing so.

The game itself is pleasing to the eye. Although it was pretty great to look at with graphics set to Ultra, even set to Low while playing on my laptop I can definitely say it wasn't an eyesore at all.

I would only recommend Victor Vran to people who despise the complexity in those games and want something a bit more "introductory" in design.

Victor Vran is a great addition to the action role-playing genre with its entertaining gameplay elements. Bold design concepts, such as the inclusion of WASD keys for movement and combat, work perfectly with the genre type. The wealth of content and addictive nature of collecting loot and replaying levels with increased challenge make Victor Vran highly recommended for action RPG fans.

It's a good romp run through ruins and wreaking havoc with demon powers, but does not provide much more substance than that.

A great ARPG and a great entry into the hack n' slash genre. It's compelling and engaging in ways you might not think such games traditionally are.
