If players are seeking a big and deep adventure that is truly theirs and that they can share with their friends, then Terraria is the game for them. Terraria offers hours upon hours of content for gamers of any taste. Casual and hardcore, competitive and social; everyone will find something to enjoy. Few will, however, enjoy the whole package, but that is fine. This is a game where players themselves decide how it should be played. After the initial barrier of learning the game, a big world opens up and an unending adventure starts.

Collect, build, fight and customize your world in Terraria. There are dozens of items, materials, weapons and armors you can craft, as well as dangerous foes you will have to defeat if you want to get the best loot. Go solo or join your friends online and create the world you've always wanted to live in.

Should you get this game? Yes. 100%. Absolutely. I will say, however, that it’s important to note that Terraria has been hit by the dreaded ‘Switch tax’ and goes for an entire $29.99 on Nintendo’s latest console. While I feel that this version of Terraria is very much worth the $29.99, you can still get it cheaper elsewhere if you’re on a budget or if you don’t own a Switch.

It offers a huge amount of bosses, items, and collectables, and couch co-op to boot. If you like Minecraft or anything of the sort, Terraria is definitely a game worth a look or two.

Overall, this isn't a game to pass up in regards to block based building games. I've now figured out what I was missing out on since my first time playing. If you're looking for action, fun, being creative, and just a game to sit back and play this is something to pick up.

If you're a PS4 owner and you've never played this game before, it's an easy recommendation as the core game is fun and addictive. If you're someone that has already crafted a Terra Blade, you've probably played this game to death already and it's a bit of a hard sell especially if you've got it on other Sony platforms. Regardless, Terraria is an amazingly addictive and satisfying game with tons of replay value and is well worth every penny.

As you may have expected, the Wii U version of the game is quite the improvement over the 3DS release, featuring more content, more features and better overall performance. If you have both a 3DS and Wii U and were patient enough to wait and see how this version turned out, then let it be known that this is definately the better release. If you're looking for a compelling sandbox-style game with tons to do and optional online co-op, look no further - you've found it.
