It's not an easy life, and this is not an easy game; some will find it greatly rewarding, but they are likely in the minority.

Farming Simulator 15 is a fun game but not fun enough nor polished enough to warrant the £45 RRP on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's a strong base that is strangely relaxing and hopefully the developers build upon this in future releases. It fails to be enough of a simulation to live up to its namesake, but if you're a fan of agriculture there is enjoyment to be had.

It's definitely an experience we haven't really seen on the consoles to date, but one that is a tough thing to manage with the repetitive nature of the game. That being said, I'm sure there will be a good portion of people who will genuinely enjoy everything about making their own farm and watching it grow, as it's so simple to pick up.

It is a good game that completely lacks mass appeal. If just wanting to dip the toes into the farming experience there are far better options out there, but for farming or simulator enthusiasts, a great game awaits to fulfil that sweet spot that only a great simulator can do.

There's some fun to be had in Farming Simulator 2015, but come prepared with your iPod.

The final product that's on offer here is confused, confusing, guilty of not providing a smooth on ramp for new players, and also of not providing enough to keep veterans playing after the initial novelty of the new features – some of which are broken - has died down. Initially the game is engaging enough but the problems start to show through very, very quickly.

Farming Simulator 2015 has a clean look to it that makes it fairly pleasing on the eyes. . . the frame rate is very consistent too, making gameplay a smooth experience

I really like Farming Simulator 2015. It's not without fault and there are clearly areas for improvement, but it is great, involved fun and you will absolutely get your money's worth. And at the rate they're improving this series, Farming Simulator 2021 will be finest game known to farmkind.

If you're curious enough to pick up this title, and for some reason you have the inexplicable urge to treat it like the simulator that it is, I say give it a whirl. For everyone else in the gaming scene though, just stay the heck away and don't give it a second glance. If I could, I would appear across space and time to smack that copy right out of your hands.

Farming Simulator 15 is not for all gamers and even though I wasn't a fan of the content, I can actually see its merits. It definitely recreates the farming experience well and it does give the player some great content in terms of what kind of farming equipment and crops are available. Needless to say, Farming Simulator 15 is also a time-hole because this game definitely requires patience to succeed but there is actually something enjoyable about this strange game based on farming!

Farming Simulator 15 can provide a tranquil, educational and interesting virtual farming experience. However, at $50 for a hamstrung version compared to its PC sibling, the bugs and narrow gameplay make it difficult to easily recommend.

For all its flaws, Farming Simulator 2015 is the latest, best entry in an exceedingly niche genre, a reasonable improvement on the last entry, and perhaps a change of scenery if you're sick of the sight of alien spaceships and chest-high walls. Even if the closest you've ever come to farming in real life is accidentally picking up an unpackaged vegetable in Tesco, I challenge you to try the demo, watch the first rays of dappled sunlight break through the treeline, glinting off the whirring blades of your harvester, and not be gripped by a sudden urge to bring the barley in.

Farming Simulator 15 is only likely to please a narrow spectrum of people who love tractors and ploughing the fields.

A weird experience that descends into boredom

I'm not convinced that this game does not have an infinite shelf life. I don't think I will ever run out of things to do on my virtual farm, which is a bonus of sorts and adds to game value. There is something inherently relaxing about hearing cows moo in the distance while I drive a tractor to my cornfield at sunrise. And, when I feel lazy I can hire someone to drive my tractor for me. Back and forth. Up and down. Back and forth. It's mesmerizing and boring all at the same time; and so is Farming Simulator 2015.

At the very least, in spite of a few flaws that drag out the gameplay experience, "Farming Simulator 15" is an in-depth and realistic farming experience that is educational and informative. It's just not a lot of fun.

If you know you'd like a farming simulator game that tries hard to recreate perfectly a small portion of reality, Farming Simulator is just what you need. If you are looking for an all-encompassing simulation game that basically recreates life on a farm, maybe wait for Sims 7: Farming Life. If you're in between, try to score this game when a deal arises, as you may get bored like I did. It's worth trying it out, and I'm glad I own it so I can go back to it when the farming mood arises, but my attention wavered far more quickly than I would have preferred.

Farming Simulator 15 is an impressively realistic simulator that deserves commendation for its accuracy. It is, however, a very slow and time consuming title that will bore the average gamer.

Farming Simulator has a long way to go if it is to be enjoyed by the typical gamer. Lack of proper tutorials, glaring AI problems, and a long grind make it nearly unbearable – at least to those who have zero interest in farming. For those who appreciate agriculture however, Farming Simulator 15 does exactly what it says on the box, and they will likely enjoy the product.
