Amnesia: The Bunker Reviews
Easily the weakest game in the series.
Amnesia: The Bunker has done the impossible - turning an annoying game of cat and mouse into a strategic survival battle that will have you feeling the stress the whole time. The freedom in problem-solving and a light but enjoyable story are only dragged down by the dated look and problematic loading.

The new from Frictional Games is not capable of surpassing the barriers of games like The Dark Descent or Rebirth. However, it is still a good opportunity to understand and enjoy different readings of the same formula.

Amnesia: The Bunker is an amazing step forward for the franchise that isn’t afraid to experiment on established mechanics without deviating too much from its DNA. For survival horror fans, even those who aren’t fans of the run-and-hide formula of the previous Amnesia games, the Bunker is a must to experience.
Despite its price and some technical issues, Amnesia The Bunker delivers top tier survival aspects like no other, the race against time never felt deadlier and the stakes are higher for sure.

A classic entry in the series, a new flavor and a constant sense of suspense. Don't expect anything revolutionary.

Amnesia: The Bunker is the series' lowest point, and doesn't give an indication for a hopeful future.
Amnesia: The Bunker is ahead of the class, achieving what many of its peers aspire to but often fall short of. If you’re a horror fan, this is a must play.
Previous Amnesia games have repeatedly fallen behind the horror that haunted the castle in the original game, but Amnesia: The Bunker is already showing potential in this regard. Bunker still feels like an exciting and increasingly important step forward for the Amnesia series. Players will love the change in the scale of the gameplay and the bigger storytelling and the new ways to interact with the world our hero is in. Having weapons and all the explosions you will bring back can change the atmosphere a lot but I will say they are not endless, and what will happen when you are left alone with the monster?
Frictional Games surprises with Amnesia: The Bunker, an experience based on its most acclaimed franchise that will test our nerves thanks to a tense and oppressive atmosphere. It is a game that takes full advantage of uncertainty and the handling of lighting, atmosphere and sound effects make it a terrifyingly satisfying experience.

Though Amnesia: The Bunker isn’t as far-fetched as its predecessor, it is still wonderfully absurd. Additionally, the core mechanics are petrifying, and you’ll be fearful of the dark once you’ve completed your playthrough. Disappointingly, though, it is far too short as you don’t get much change out of 7 hours of horror fun. Yet, despite this shortcoming, I recommend buying it here! Can you keep the lights on and escape your destiny? Find the fuel, solve the puzzles, and avoid The Stalker.
