A very welcome slice of DLC that is just as enjoyable as the main game and helps flesh out a fan favourite character with their own unique abilities and agenda.

Nitpicks aside, Separate Ways is a mostly tremendous addition to the Resident Evil 4 remake and, along with The Mercenaries mode updates that were released for free, goes a long way in making the RE4 remake experience truly complete. Some may still not be happy that Separate Ways is a $9.99 DLC instead of being packed-in with the game like it was in the post-GameCube versions of the original Resident Evil 4, but this version of Separate Ways is a fundamentally different experience and one that surpasses its predecessor in every possible way.

Separate Ways is a worthy counterpart to Resident Evil 4's fantastic story, providing an excellent remix of both new and familiar locations, and its breakneck pace of pitting you against excellent adversaries never leaves room for a dull moment.

A superb DLC that remains on the same, excellent level as the Resident Evil 4 remake. In terms of gameplay, Ada's adventure mixes elements that often speed up the pace a bit with others that fit perfectly with the espionage nature of the protagonist. Narratively speaking, Separate Ways expands on the original story and reveals new details that will delight hardcore Resident Evil fans.

After a launch worthy of the best of the year, the only important thing that was missing arrived: Resident Evil 4 - Separate Ways gives the lead to Ada Wong, who manages not only to complement Leon's saga, but also to build a first-class adventure of her own. Shooting, kicking and jumping is always a lot of fun, and the DLC challenges have a great level of difficulty, including combat and puzzles. In conclusion, a mandatory expansion for those who have the game and a great extra incentive for those who have not yet purchased it.

The DLC Separate Ways is not an addition to complement the beauty of the remake. because On the contrary, the game was complete before, and this DLC added a lot and emphasized the perfection that Capcom provided in the remake. A DLC full of details and wonderful encounters, with very beautiful music, and an extension of the splendor of game design that was introduced in the remake, and it is certainly the best DLC that Capcom has produced in the history of the Resident Evil franchise.

Separate Ways DLC sets a new standard for downloadable content, standing out as one of the finest offerings in recent years. With an impressive gameplay duration of around 3.5 hours, impeccable craftsmanship, and a faithful preservation of the elements that made the original game a classic, it's a compelling addition. What seals the deal is the incredibly affordable price of just $10. Separate Ways is a welcomed and excellent addition to one of the best games of 2023. While it is too bad that it couldn’t have been a part of the package back when the core game was released, the wait has been worth it. Separate Ways is easily some of the best material that Capcom has produced since the real Resident Evil 4 and outclasses the original Separate Ways.

The Resident Evil 4 remake Separate Ways expansion is a flawless DLC, and serves as a valuable and engaging conclusion to the Las Plagas saga. Capcom has done the entire remake of Resident Evil 4 right from top to bottom. Stepping into Ada's high heels and grappling from rooftop to rooftop feels exhilarating and refreshing as we get to peek into her side of the story. Now I want a full game with just Ada alone! After all, who doesn't love her?

Resident Evil lovers will be lucky, seeing that Separate Ways is the perfect icing on the cake that Resident Evil 4 Remake needed. Completing the DLC can easily take 4-5 hours, which is not bad at all if we take into account that it costs €9.99 and the base game can easily be finished in 17-20 hours. Without a doubt, an essential DLC for every fan of the saga as well as anyone who wants to delve deeper into the history of Resident Evil 4. As a note, mention that in order to play Separate Ways you will need to be able to play the base game.

Separate Ways is the best Resident Evil DLC to date: better than the original, with new gameplay features, bigger and with a lot of new story details.

Separate Ways is no longer a superfluous extra because of all of these astute changes. With its focus on replayability, upgrades, and unique encounters, this expansion more deeply understands what makes Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil 4 and has all the unpredictability of the remake. But unlike the remake, Capcom couldn't just maintain the essence of what was already there because the original Separate Ways was so underwhelming. Instead, it deftly rebuilt Ada's side story and turned it into an integral part of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways greatly improves upon the storytelling and importance of Ada’s side story, serving as a template for future Resident Evil games’ expansions. It’s a condensed and accelerated version of the remake’s story that fleshes out behind-the-scenes events, and its ending enticingly teases the next possible remake in Capcom’s horror franchise. It can feel repetitive in parts, underrealized in others, but it’s a meaty piece of content that’s worth playing if the Resident Evil 4 remake left you hungering for more.

While the bar wasn't that high to begin with, Separate Ways is far and away the best piece of DLC ever released for a Resident Evil game. It manages to succesfully build on top of the already rock solid experience that Resident Evil 4 provides to offer up the spotlight that series super spy Ada Wong has always deserved. With a heady mix of horror, action and even espionage, Separate Ways' incredibly modest price of admission makes it a no brainer. It's an absolute achievement from the development team and not to be missed.

Separate Ways is a fantastic reinvention of what was already a neat idea turned into its own thing, with its unique flavor and highly engaging approach to changing the core gameplay that was played up to current day, post Resident Evil 2 Remake standards. Capcom’s been on a run with their games lately and this is no exception. Yeah, it’s still a bit of a bummer that it’s paid DLC, but it’s one that is well worth getting as it’s well above average among similar expansions to other notable games.
