Bloody retro shooter with deficits in control, along with friends but quite fun.

Shadow Warrior 2 is a great shooter offering hours of quality entertainment, many enemies for you to cut, Lo Wang with with his iconic humor, and co-operation. If you wanna go crazy and aren't looking for a deep story, you're at the right place.

Shadow Warrior 2 surprised me. It takes a chance by adopting a more open-ended structure, but it pays off. All the humour of the original game remains intact, and there's more emphasis on you simply having fun, whether that's by yourself or with others. And what fun it is.

If you didn't get a chance to play it on PC last year, Shadow Warrior 2 on consoles is still worth your time, but this version is not on par with the PC one, with halved framerate, no HDR and no new content.

Even with these issues Shadow Warrior 2 is still incredibly fun and endlessly entertaining. Add in the fact that it supports 4-player co-op online and it is a no-brainer. The console versions turned out well, just not as good as they should have been. For those without massive gaming PCs though it is not really an issue. This is a technically sound port of an incredibly great game. Don't miss it.

For all my complaints about the mission structure and repetitive semi-randomised maps, I never once stopped playing thanks to excellent gunplay, and fun upgrade system, and just enough narrative to keep me interested. It is always difficult for developers to create decent narrative in these games and the story in Shadow Warrior 2 seems more ambitious than the game can effectively convey.

Get the game, but don't expect it to be like Borderlands or any other modern shooter. Visuals aside, this plays very much like the 90s FPS that inspired it, and while that's a good thing, we're nowadays more accustomed to a bit more complexity and variety in the genre.

Lo Wang returns harder than ever. Shadow Warrior 2 is amazing game with well-thought gameplay, which will engage every fan of the oldschool in first person shooter genre.

Shadow Warrior 2 is finally out on consoles but it is not a smooth transition. While the base game is solid and still holds well from the original PC release, the console port is buggy and the long load times and technical issues can get in the way of enjoying the game.

Shadow Warrior 2 is an old school FPS, with frantic gameplay, great design elements and incredible fun. Its´ constant jokes made us smile throughout more than 12 hours of gunpowder and blood.

Shadow Warrior 2 surpasses everything that was its predecessor's 2013 release. A larger roster of weaponry to choose from, a Diablo-esque loot system for equipment upgrades, greatly improved visuals and most importantly, a 4-player cooperative mode.

If you're in the market for simple, viscera-packed thrills, then you could do a lot worse than Shadow Warrior 2. Yes, it's a bit repetitive (it's getting repetitive writing the word 'repetitive'), but it's also a lot of fun.

Shadow Warrior 2 again has a complex control with strange combinations of buttons in the gamepad and has no new content to justify its delay in consoles. Otherwise, this is a very funny title.

Shadow Warrior 2 is a game unlike any other. It's got the classic FPS gameplay that's been modernized lately, but it changes things up by mixing in RPG dungeon crawling mechanics. The end result works very well and it gives the game a great amount of replayability, even on subsequent playthroughs.

Flying Wild Hog has gone well beyond churning out a simple sequel to its rebooted series. Shadow Warrior 2 stands on its own as a frenzied yet fresh blending of genres that can easily enthral groups of players for hours at a time. For lone wolves, the looting and shooting will be slightly less appealing. This, and a few smaller hitches, hold the game back from greatness, though die-hard fans of the genre will certainly get their fill.

Drawing on some pretty obvious inspirations, Shadow Warrior 2 doesn't have many original ideas of its own, but that doesn't stop it from being one of most purely fun FPS games on the market right now.

It's the case of a small issue that turned rampant and hindered my play experience, but Shadow Warrior 2 is such a fast-paced, irresponsible, chaotic joy ride, that the mental pain I had to deal with from this annoying decision was well worth it in the end.

Flying Wild Hog has gone for ‘bigger is better' on Shadow Warrior 2, and occasionally that works. Sadly, there's too much open space and inconsistent combat to make it a memorable return for the puerile Lo Wang. These issues are patched over somewhat by the highly enjoyable co-op, where you get a fair share of chucks out of mowing down hordes of demons with pals.

Shadow Warrior 2 is a sequel in the most truest of senses, offering something that feels fresh and new whilst still offering the same top notch action that returning gamers would have been used to. Some might not necessarily like the game’s new direction, but I loved it and would thoroughly recommend Shadow Warrior 2 to both FPS and dungeon crawling fans – you certainly won’t feel shafted by Wang’s latest outing.
