Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess presents us with an interesting combination between tower defense and hack and slash, where the player has enough tools to face each challenge in the way they like best. The pacing is addictive, and there is constantly a feeling of progression that hooks you, and you can't let go of the control until you reach the end credits. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a classic in the making, a title that we will all be talking about in a couple of years as one of the hidden gems of this generation.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess proves that Capcom's golden period is long lasting. This unique title not only provides a fun and engaging experience, it does so with such ease it's kind of mesmerising. A fun gameplay loop, polished presentation and entertaining story make this a game to remember, as with other works from the same director! If action and strategy combined sounds like a good time then Kunitsu-Gami is a no-brainer; get it now and throw down some sick dance moves in the name of Yoshiro!

I love Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. The game feels like a cult classic from the PS2 era. The exciting mixture of tower defense and hack'n'slash is a hell of a lot of fun and gets better and better as the game progresses. At times, the combat becomes too chaotic. Graphically, the game makes a solid, if unspectacular, impression. In a world full of huge, highly polished and generic AAA games, “Kunitsu-Gami” feels like a breath of fresh air from a simpler gaming past. I want to see more small, experimental and crazy games like this from big publishers.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has so much to explore and delve into, and there is never a dull moment between the chaos of pushing back the hordes of Seethe and the peaceful moments of rebuilding the villages. Between the inspired world and character designs and the enamoring ambiance, that’s already more than enough to keep anybody going, but the best aspect of this release is how well it blends tower defense with action adventure. This is without a doubt another gem from the infamous Capcom that you’ll want to experience for its story and beauty.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an extraordinary game with a distinctive style that is exciting to play. The strategic values and constant fluctuations in the gameplay is creative and appealing. The mechanics aren't anything especially new, but the way the game develops its pieces enhances the overall design and quaintly makes the game its own beast. The game undoubtedly stands out with its loud and compelling graphical style as well as having a superb soundtrack. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an innovative adventure that is a precipice of design in the gaming space of today. Snuff out the blight and bring peace in this steep climb to victory!

At a time when larger gaming companies are more averse to taking any risks and seem more interested in riding established IPs or developing new live service games, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a refreshing new entry that tries to do something different instead of concocting new ways to nickel and dime its players. Its fusion of action and tower defense might be too niche for some players. For folks who like real-time combat and strategy, however, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will feel like their prayers were answered.

Kunitsu-Gami is something we thought we would only see during the PS2 days of Capcom when every game was innovative and new, but they achieved exactly that with this game with it's defend the tower mechanics and tight action controls

In many ways, I was surprised with how much I’ve come to enjoy this game after having my curiosity tickled during last year’s Summer Games Fest reveal, where from a hands-off look at Kunitsu-Gami showed what appeared to be a much more point and click experience than the actual release proved to be. As it is for real, it’s something that could be easily recommended to those seeking to not only engage with its fun mechanics, but also its endlessly colorful presentation and gripping setting.

Kunitsu-Gami is another unique game in Capcom's collection. It is very similar to the PS2-era project, which the company forgot to release for some reason. One of the most unusual projects of this year, successfully combining several genres, a mysterious mystical atmosphere and entertaining gameplay.

In the landscape of remakes and remasters, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a gorgeous experimental title that blends action and tower defense perfectly into a package that pays homage to traditional Japanese culture with its combat and presentation based on Kagura and Bunraku, made by Capcom. Play this game if you appreciate works of art and Japanese culture.

Before playing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, I was intrigued by a new Capcom IP, but had no desire to play a tower defense game. I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the creative way Capcom fused tower defense with third person action. The combat itself wasn’t a highlight, but the unique way the gameplay was structured really pulled me in. If you’re at all curious about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, definitely give it a try. It completely exceeded my expectations.
