This game lacks creativity in every aspect, as it tries and fails at implementing its various features. It comes off as more of a sniping simulator than a videogame with engaging mechanics, and is thus a hard game to recommend, even to shooter fans.

The problems with Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 are manifold. Although some players might be able to stomach the long load times and poor framerate, it's unlikely they'll endure the countless bugs. The three regions that the game takes place in are sufficiently large. They're also filled with the appropriate amount of secrets and general busywork. Unfortunately, Georgia feels static and lifeless. Enemy troops don't have a purpose beyond shooting it out with the protagonist. While putting an end to these hapless goons is entertaining, it doesn't justify suffering through all of the other setbacks.

If you're a fan of the series, you'll probably enjoy this. For me, as a total noob? I felt that the game needed more time in development to iron out some of the tech issues and kinks and to, perhaps, polish up the character models and sloppy environments.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a promising and somewhat ambitious concept that's plagued with some monstrous game-breaking technical issues, inconsistent AI and some downright curious design choices. Some of it can doubtless be patched but as it stands, this is far from a finished product.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is misguided by the unending trend of games going open-world. The idea may have been born with good intentions, but blatantly copying all of another series' structure is a bad look, undone much further by the fact that it does all of those same things very poorly. It's unclear for whom this game was made as it feels more like a middling title we rarely see anymore, possessing neither the polish of AAA nor the admirable quirks of an indie.

The view from a sniper's scope has the potential to tell a compelling and meditative story about the nature of armed conflict without the boom and bravado of video game warfare. It can also magnify issues and expose glaring flaws. In the case of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, the later is true. It's a sloppy, uninspired game at its best. At its worst, it's -- to quote Jonathan North -- "one fucking long exercise in triage."

The open world environment and role-playing elements are trying to elevate the game above its rickety predecessors, but on both a technical and design level this sequel is way off target.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is filled with unforgivable load times, piss poor visuals, and gunplay that is better in nearly every other military shooter. From top to bottom, it's an uninspired and technical mess. Many of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3's issues could have been looked over maybe five years ago, but not in 2017. It's a game that is almost certainly undeserving of your time and even more undeserving of your money. Dodge this bullet and go play almost any other first person shooter from this console era. I can guarantee you that you'll have a better time.

This game tried to actively stop me from playing it and eventually it won. Sniper games are something I love, and there is a great game here, but it is buried deep under bugs, assumptive tutorials, and other problems.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 kann trotz einer robusten Sniper-Mechanik und eines interessanten Drohnen-Features aufgrund von technischen Mängeln nicht überzeugen.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, in broad terms, seems to be a stripped down Far Cry 4 with more focus put into bullet ballistics. While the elements of a decent title are buried in here, there is a noticeable rough edge around everything that throws off the feel of the game. Some parts, such as the slow-mo sniper camera, seem like a cheap imitation of better titles. The lack of interesting side quests made me question if a switch to open world gameplay was the right choice. Perhaps providing a focus on smaller, well-designed maps instead of three large ones would have better fit the action-stealth genre. While the game is relatively bug free and the controls are decent, there is not much motivation to complete it due to repetitive missions and uncompelling plot. CI Games has a long track record of rather mediocre games and unfortunately this entry does not break the mold.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 succeeds as a sniping game but fails at most everything else it set out to be.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is not a good game and it can only entertain people who love Sniper games for a little while. Problems such as technical bugs which prevent you from finishing a mission plus bad directing of cinematic scenes are visible throughout the game. Unfortunately the voice acting of the characters is also weak. If I wanted to spend 50 dollars on a game, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 wouldn't be my choice at all.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is not necessarily a bad game. The shooting and platforming mechanics are good. But performance issues, such as bugs that make distant enemies simply vanish, the unreliable and totally corruptible checkpoints and save systems, plus ridiculously long loading screens, along with shallow story and characters with no charisma at all, make Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 a suffering experience.

Despite still being mired with an unhealthy assortment of technical hiccups and a paper thin narrative that feels like a rejected Call of Duty plot line, there is still fun to be mined out of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 but it's entirely dependent on an individual's tolerance of the occasional glitch.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is one of the worst games in this generation and it fails in many aspects. The game has weak graphic, nonsense open world map and repetitive gameplay. But if you love sniping games, it can entertain you for a few hours.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 offers some of the most satisfying sniping you can imagine, but everything outside of that just feels too drab and lacklustre to truly make it standout.

Granting players the freedom to decide how to take on missions and utilize the excellent sniping mechanic however they like is an idea that the Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 series required to improve on the underwhelming first two entries. However, since everything else, from the characters to the open world itself, lack polish, depth, and quality – on top of the game being riddled with technical problems – Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is far more dull and frustrating than it is ever enjoyable.

During an opening splash screen, an ethereal voiceover tells you that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 was "Achieved with Cry-Engine". However, while playing the game, we failed to realise at all what was achieved. Some moderately entertaining combat aside, the release takes too liberally from other, better titles. Technical issues are the final nail in the coffin, making it interesting to see a game aim so low, yet still manage to miss its mark entirely.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has several issues, and because of this, it's hard to recommend anyone to actually go out and play through the game. If you enjoyed the first two games in the franchise, there's a good chance you'll find enjoyment out of this title as well. But for those that are just looking for another first-person shooter to hold them over until the fall, I'd strongly suggest waiting the extra couple months.
