TrackMania Turbo Reviews
Trackmania Turbo lacks some of the series' standards, but still offers a polished and engaging time-trial racer for those looking for a rush of speed. With tons of options for play and the constant chase for a better time, Turbo gets under your skin, and once it's in there, it doesn't let go for a long time.
Long time veterans will have a few minor gripes with TrackMania Turbo, but it's the perfect experience for those new to the series.
It's still the same compulsive, time-attack Trackmania, but some of the beautifully chaotic edges (particularly regarding custom online multiplayer) that made it a cult hit on PC have been dulled.
Trackmania Turbo is available now on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It was developed by Nadeo and published by Ubisoft. This review covers the PS4 version of the game.
Considering its budget pricing, there's a heck of a lot to love about Trackmania Turbo. As I said earlier it really is an acquired taste, for that masochistic lot that get a kick out of shaving tenths of seconds off theirs and other people's time, Nadeo's latest is a winner. It's the sort of thing I find myself frantically throwing in the last few minutes of my lunch break, desperate to catch a quick session or smash a new record.
Trackmania Turbo is a fun game if you're playing it alone or with friends. With simple mechanics and a wealth of content, you'll always find a reason to revisit the charming and chaotic world of the game.

Trackmania Turbo delivers thrills online and off thanks to high speed, crazy tracks, and a unique time trial focus.
Trackmania Turbo is a fast and challenging game, which offers a lot of content despite its small install size. It is, however, somewhat frustrating and demanding, which means that it won't be for everyone. That said, there's a large community of gamers who love this type of experience, and those folks will eat it up.
A phenomenal arcade racer, which unfortunately relies a little too much on player's competitive drive, from which comes majority of the title's life time.
TrackMania Turbo is damn near perfect for an arcade racer. Its difficulty and progression system may chase away some, but those who stick around for the long run are in for some truly rewarding speeding.
Trackmania Turbo brings its unique blend of thrill ride, arcade and puzzle racing to current generation consoles, and purely speaking about gameplay, is probably the best title in the series – it's certainly turned into my favourite of the bunch.
In addition to Trackmania Turbo's single-player campaign, you can enjoy a race variation where two players work in unison to control one car. There's also local multiplayer racing and action-packed online multiplayer modes, including one where 100 players race ghost cars against each other. Add the deep track creator to the surrealistic mix, and the result is a fantastic racing game that will keep players coming back for short doses of fun-filled mayhem!
TrackMania Turbo is a must for fans and lovers of the genre.
It may be frustrating at times, but if you like your racers, Trackmania Turbo may be an interesting distraction for you.
Though not quite the perfect package, Trackmania Turbo's strong community and solid gameplay should keep racing fans coming back for more.
This game appeals to both hardcore and novice drivers, but its limited Time Attack focus isn't for everyone
Trackmania Turbo is the latest iteration from a bizarre genre, a racing game but with a roller coaster or Hot Wheels style, it is also its first appearance on consoles. It has sparked controversy among its fans.

In the end, Trackmania: Turbo is a beautiful game that tries to set itself apart from the pack. It's definitely better than most, and it's clear that Nadeo have become rather accustomed to making these games. As the first TrackMania to make its way onto the PlayStation 4, I do recommend it if it is your genre of choice. But note that, thanks to the uninteresting campaign track designs, how long the game can hold your attention for is definitely proportionate to how much time you might be willing to pour into the track editor.
Trackmania Turbo isn't substantially different from other games in the series: it's polished, fleet, and enjoyable. That makes it a great purchase for long-neglected console players, but it offers less to series veterans on PC.
With all awesomeness and exciting gameplay of Trackmania Turbo, it is your type of racing game where you get to be hooked up again to just play and beat those damn scores. You want to be best in the world or in your country? Then be sure to get into the driver's seat and fasten your seatbelt as this will be one hell of a ride!
