Easily the best looking anime fighter on the market today, the fourth and final entry in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series proves to be a highly entertaining one as it parallels its stupendous presentation with substantial longevity and an easily accessible brawler.

Fans of the Naruto franchise will find that Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is an excellent adaptation of the anime and manga as it concludes the final arc. With tons of playable characters, intense battles, online multiplayer, and a fairly lengthy Story Mode, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 offers tons of content that will be loved by fans. Though the fighting system is basic, it makes up for it by being accessible and placing fun and entertainment above complex gameplay mechanics.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 really embraces the style its anime roots. The frantic combat is very enjoyable, despite an initially steep learning curve, and there's a multitude of modes and scenarios to duke it out in. Combine that that with stunning, flashy action packed scenes and you don't just get the best looking Naruto game but possibly the best looking Anime style title.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 could have tried to be a little more accessible for those who are not yet in love with the Naruto canon but even they will be impressed by the combat sequences and intrigued to find out more about the main cast of characters.

Overall, this is a fantastic game, doing justice to the Naruto franchise. It looks and plays beautifully, which is sure to please long time fans. It’s a shame on the story mode, but you can argue that starting at the 4th game in the series as a new fan wouldn’t be the best idea. If you want the full Naruto experience, then I believe checking out past games is the best option (or giving the anime or manga a try). CyberConnect2 have created a dedicated, passionate Naruto experience, one that this player will keep on enjoying for years to come. It’s a love letter to the fans, that are sure to be satisfied with what it has to offer.

Despite what you might think of the source material's other incarnations, the Ultimate Ninja Storm series is where the world of Naruto truly comes to life. The story mode alone justifies the game's purchase, and the versus mode is a hell of a lot of fun...provided you're not going online to play. It gets kind of dicey at that point.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 refines the gameplay to the absolute best of the series and offers a large roster of playable characters. Unfortunately, it squanders all of that potential with a short and poorly presented campaign fought against buggy AI, a forgettable Adventure Mode and online matches that are plagued with connectivity problems. The Ultimate Ninja Storm series sadly does not end on a high note.

Is it possible that the fourth version of a fighting game built on a simple control scheme could still be worth visiting? Yes, and the developer's devotion to the series gives current fans and those who may get bit by the Naruto bug down the line a good reason to start the game up with friends again and again.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 should feel like a love letter to longtime fans, who will adore the enormous roster of 61 characters and breathtakingly beautiful visuals. On the other hand, the game shouldn't be counted out for newcomers, either; while they might not enjoy the hackneyed shonen story elements or lack of tutorials, they'll almost assuredly get a kick out of the hyperactive and highly variable fighting style. CyberConnect2 President Hiroshi Matsuyama said he wanted the game to be built with a long life in mind, and if you're into this brand of no-holds-barred insanity, that's exactly what you'll get out of it.

Between the gorgeous graphics, solid combat, and multiple game modes this impressive fighter isn't necessarily just for anime fans.

There is a lot of content to jump into, and  a lot of options for how you want to experience that content. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 doesn't do too much new in terms of expanding the series, but the feel of the game proves it didn't really need to.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is certainly the best title to the series to date, and it is fitting for such a send off, not just as an anime genre fighter but a solid fighting game in general. While mostly tooled for Naruto fans, it does make a strong run at grabbing newcomers as well. Ultimate NInja Storm 4 gives us one hell of a show, and there is no doubt the show shall continue, albeit tailored for an unknown future.

If Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was the last entry in CyberConnect2's lengthy relationship with the series it would most certainly be a high note to end on.

Tying up the final chapters of the Shippuden story in a fun and flashy fashion, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 really is the ultimate Naruto game. Every character, and every battle, is present in some form. The peak of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

I'm no expert on Naruto, but even I became a fan after playing through Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. There's so much effort put into the presentation alone that it's hard not to be engaged, and the gameplay (while simple) allows you to play across a massive roster of characters for some really cool looking and feeling battles.

Stunning to behold and hugely enjoyable to play, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 can sometimes prove frustrating, but once you get to grips with it and master its combat, enjoying the blistering battles that ensue is a joy. Close to Six Paths Perfection, you might say.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is easily one of the best entries in the series, and is arguably one of the greatest anime fighters to be released in some time. CyberConnect2's flair for creating stunning action scenarios is at its brightest in the game's superb story mode, but even when it's over, a hefty amount of content, both online and offline, and a thoroughly enjoyable, reworked combat system will see fans through well into the future. The storm may be about to pass with this final instalment, but there's no denying that it's provided one heck of a light show.
