A One Piece Dynasty Warriors mashup. It’s more for the fans of the One Piece manga or anime, but it’s quite fun if you are interested in the story.

The Switch version of Pirate Warriors 3 may not be the most detailed graphic version out there, but the developers put a considerable amount of work to guarantee the same experience for Nintendo users.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 on Switch runs great, is amazing for fans and once again has some great combat. It's a shame that newcomers will feel lost and that losing is so punishing. It does have plenty of content for musou fans and One Piece fans alike.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 lands on Switch with a "deluxe edition" that keeps all the pros and cons from the original release: a huge amount of content, repetitive gameplay mechanics and missions, varied modes, faithful visuals to the anime... A game that fits perfectly on Switch, and it's highly enjoyable "on the go".

I expected a lot more from this title and it definitely disappointed.

It's more of the same but that's not a bad thing as the gameplay is incredibly fast, frantic and fun. A great game on it's own but if you aren't a fan of Dynasty Warriors style beat em ups, this game might not do much to change your opinion on them.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 delivers absurd action and offers hours of replayable content, but drops the ball with its botched PC transition and lack of online multiplayer.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a remarkably fun entry in the franchise and easily the best One Piece game on any system. It has some flaws, many of which are common to the Warriors franchise, but it's just fun to play. Fast-paced combat, fun stage design, excellent graphics and solid adaptation of the anime and manga stories mean that it also has boatloads to do. It doesn't quite attain the heights set by Hyrule Warriors, but anyone who's a One Piece fan must buy this title.

Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is the best installment in the series as it has both great gameplay mechanics, pleasing fans of the Musou genre, as well as plenty of content and modes faithful to the original series, which easily satisfies One Piece fans.

[F]ans of the anime might find something of value here provided they can tolerate game design that was bad 10 years ago. Equally, fans of Dynasty Warriors will probably go nuts for this title as it rehashes the same old ideas with new characters. For my money, I'd steer entirely clear unless you have a borderline unhealthy obsession with One Piece or Dynasty Warriors, or just really want to wipe out thousands of brainless enemies (which is cool – everybody has their vices).

In the end, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is probably one of the most enjoyable One Pirate games that I've played in a long-time and it's good to see the franchise remaining strong on the PlayStation 4. It's a fun beat 'em up with some exceptional graphics and a very entertaining story with some sturdy gaming mechanics!

For me personally, the story was the highlight as it provides an excellent summation of the One Piece series as Luffy and his friends manage to overcome incredible odds and share some truly touching moments.

Instead of enjoying both fighting and dialogue, it became a weird kind of chore to play through battles just to progress the story.

Underneath the One piece slathered visuals and story you have your typical Warriors game, but the two fit perfectly together. The hack 'n' slash combat feels nice and fluid and makes it accessible for anyone despite their level of skill plus the anime style is a real treat to look at just be wary of the drop in local multiplayer. One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is a game that fans of the series and Warriors franchise will absolutely love plus its one that players unfamiliar to series will be able to enjoy.

[W]hat it does bring is the best representation of One Piece to a video game, while giving fans the chance to get caught in all of Luffy's mad adventures in a fun and solid, if uninspiring, Warriors game aimed to depict the madness that comes with taking down hundreds of enemies with unique characters.

This is an entertaining way for long time fans to re-explore their favorite One Piece moments or even unfamiliar fans to get acquainted with what they've been missing. However, when you strip all that away, this is just another Warriors game and certainly not the best playing one.

In summary, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is a great game for fans of the series, and there is a lot of content to keep them busy. On the other hand or... err... fist, newcomers may find it tough to play the game all the way through without becoming bored.
