While it is unlikely that Black and White Bushido will ever compel you to turn away from TowerFall for very long, it's great for a quick match every now and then. Just don't pick this up expecting to be blown away.

Black & White Bushido simply doesn't have a large base of players playing the game to make it a worthwhile experience, magnifying the flaws of the title further.

Black & White Bushido is a very fun game to play with a group of friends, but doesn't deliver any enjoyable content for gamers who would rather play on their own. While some of the spawn points in the game can come off as unfair, most of the time the game delivers as an entertaining and exciting battle arena, that I can definitely see being a hit at parties.

Black and White Bushido was a fun game, but one that you'll either really like or only find amusing for a short gaming session. The multiplayer component is key, so the more you're into multiplayer gaming the more enjoyment you'll get from the game. We're sure the easy Platinum is also very enticing for fellow trophy hunters. So if you're looking for a multiplayer game where you can fight in short and fast-paced battles, Black and White Bushido migh be what you want.

I found Black and White Bushido to be a fine party game offering quick combat and creative gameplay

While straightforward and basic, Black And White Bushido is a ton of fun, especially since it allows up to four players to play on the same screen. Gameplay is fast and relentless, making rounds quick and engaging.

If you were planning a mass multiplayer night with your buddies this is the kind of game that will get you swearing like it's going out of fashion, as your buddy consistently slashes your face off (in the game) when you didn't see him/her coming.

These are devastating flaws, but its core is still promising. It's not a terribly complex arena game, but it is competent and I can see it being good fun for hour-long plays at get-togethers. However, unless its online mode picks up, it'd be difficult to recommend this to anyone not looking for a party game.

The art style is generally pleasing to the eye, but the lack of enjoyable content means that it’s likely to be the only thing you’ll remember from the game.

With only two game modes and six similar maps, even with the ability to play online, there just isn't a lot here to keep players captivated any longer than short-term.

Overall Black & White: Bushido stands out for its visual style and cool hiding gameplay mechanic but the lack of modes and almost current none existent online player base will limit the audience for this game. If you however are looking for a fun new local multiplayer game to play with friends I highly recommend it.

Black & White Bushido is a fun and unique multiplayer arena fighter that does just enough to keep players entertained. It's limited in scope, but its tight controls and colour-based sneak-'n'-stab gameplay offer up a fun time with friends. This would be easier to recommend had there been more to keep you playing beyond the basic modes, but if you're looking for something new to play with a few buddies, this could be worth a look.

Black & White Bushido is a game that’s hard to recommend. While its core fighting mechanics are sound, save for the confusion that can arise from its stealth systems and monochromatic presentation, it doesn’t really have a lot to keep you hooked. There’s no denying that a group of friends playing locally can have a good time, but it lacks any sort of staying power in single-player or online.

The lasting power of Black & White Bushido is probably what concerns me the most. Despite the entertaining core Deathmatch mode, the whole experience still feels pretty forgettable.

Overall, Black and White Bushido is a lot of fun, with support of up to four players local or online, this is certainly a game to bring out at parties or when friends come over for some fun.

If you’re looking for a unique multiplayer arena brawler ‘Black & White Bushido’ will deliver. It offers a unique enough take on the genre to set itself apart. With its simple controls and minimalist style, it is easy to pick up and enjoy. My only real concern is the lackluster single player (which to be fair really wasn’t their focus) and lack of content for the console release. With a console release date of May 17th and at a 10.00 price tag, You’ll more than likely get your money’s worth if you decide to pick it up.
