Madden NFL 15 may not be the first Madden game released for the next generation of consoles, but it stands as the series' first truly "next-gen" iteration. That said, a couple of major issues keep it from being as great as it could have been.

Madden NFL 15 brought to you by the NFL's classist, uncaring, voracious appetite for profit and general moral failure as a multi-billion dollar business built on the backs of broken, mostly forgotten workers™ takes its existing defensive framework and makes it not suck. This lets me hit quarterbacks more and release the aggression that wells up when I see any of the in-game advertisements. The rest is Madden 25, but less hideous.

Madden NFL 15 is an enjoyable football game on the surface, but it's dragged down by a thousand little issues, including a poor interface, odd glitches, the inability to skip certain cutscenes, and more. As nice as it is to see it take a step forward in terms of accessibility, it still has a ways to go before catching up with the likes of FIFA and NBA 2K.

Bottom line is, if you haven't played Madden in a few years it might be worth checking out again on the new consoles, but if you are someone who bought the last entry and are satisfied with that, maybe wait.

Madden 15 is a beautiful football game, but its biggest achievement stems from much improved defensive mechanics that make both sides of the ball fun to play.

Madden 15 a step forward, then, yet still a year behind schedule. There's a good game here, but there's still work to do to bring it up to the level of many of its sports game peers.

A football game which finds its true strength on the field in the gameplay. With patches, will be a must-own title.

New defensive-line play and more defining accuracy with QBs highlight some of the many changes this year's Madden brings to the table. Unfortunately, not all the other tweaks are nearly as successful.

Madden NFL 15 is a great option for those looking to curb the football hunger, and provides a solid simulation, for the most part, of the NFL game. While there are something's that still remain a frustration with some of the Artificial Intelligence being increased and their counterparts receiving no attention (ie – DB's versus WR's), the game is still amazing visually and a lot of fun to play. There is no other option, not even college, on the market so if you want a football game you have little ways to look outside of Madden NFL 15. Good thing for all of us that eat, sleep, and breathe football Madden NFL 15 delivers a robust set of modes, major graphical overhauls, and outstanding new gameplay features on the field. In the end it's like a big ol' bird on Thanksgiving Day, filling you up enough that you probably won't need any more until the following year.

For someone who doesn't wait in line for 'Madden' every year, I was very impressed and would consider doing that next year just to see how much better it can get. The game itself is addicting, especially the very in-depth career mode and Ultimate Team. For most 'Madden' players, the new version is almost a rite of passage for the beginning of the new NFL season. For the rest of us wondering if it is a worthwhile upgrade from last year, the answer is yes. The defensive changes, coupled with last year's offensive changes, make for the best all-around NFL offering to date, and 360 owners will be pleased to find another year of love from the folks over at EA Tiburon. 'Madden NFL 15'will tide you over very well..... at least 'til next year.

Madden NFL 25 is better than last year's production; it features better cosmetic and aesthetic features, it often feels more streamlined and accessible, and the upgrades on the defensive side of the ball are huge. It's finally fun to play on defense! Sadly, the game still gets bogged down by a balancing issue, as the defense is simply overpowered.

If it's been awhile since you picked up a Madden game, you might want to give Madden 15 a look. It's definitely grown beyond what most people think of Madden NFL games.

Based on the presentation and improvement in the gameplay and animations, Madden NFL 15 isn't everything I hoped for, but it's still fun.

The long and short of Madden 15 is this; if you are a year in year out Madden fanatic, you will enjoy the latest addition to the series. It might not have a ton of new features, nor a breadth of new content, but there are enough changes to entertain, keep the games fun and challenging, and you have your football game for 2014/2015's season.

2014/15 is a good season for Madden. The defensive play and depth of control in each mode makes this a game that should reward series fans for a long time coming. It's also a good looking effort on the PlayStation 4. Superstar Mode is still a no show in the way it used to be, but the Connected Careers stuff encourages play with friends in a big way. If you have friends that dig Madden, Madden NFL 15 should be a good time. It's not a constant hit, but its success is strong.

Overall, Madden NFL 15 is a fantastic installment in the yearly football series. It isn't without its flaws, but this year's game brings great improvements in areas where the series was particularly lacking in.

Madden NFL 15 promises full NFL authenticity, but in practice asks us to meet it halfway. There's a lot of great improvements. and the uncanny valley of NFL simulation is in site, but there's a lot more work to be done. It may not fully be the revolution EA Tiburon says it is, but Madden NFL 15 is still a really fun way to get your football game fix. Even after 26 years, Madden still impresses.
