LucasArts' 1993 adventure game has aged incredibly well, making for an incredible experience for newcomers and veterans alike. Add in a host of great extras and upgrades, and it's hard to think of how this Remastered edition could possibly be better.

As a fan of the original game, Day of the Tentacle Remastered is everything I want in a remastered game. Gameplay and originality have been preserved and showcased, never forgetting what put Day of the Tentacle on the map. Double Fine Productions also added TONS and TONS of hidden trophies, each with its own chuckle-inducing title that amused me along the way. The options provided to tweak with in-game graphics, sound, and control allowed me to play the game the way I wanted to, and never left me in sorrow wishing instead to play the original. It is my hope that these practices become mainstream and expected of all remastered games. Too often do new versions of old games forget what they once were. Whether you prefer the original art, or the new look that eliminates pixel bite, the game is bright and colorful, filled to the brim with quirky characters, and jam-packed with laughs, making it a MUST PLAY for point and click adventure fans.

I fell in love with Lucasarts when i grew up, so did most people playing adventure games in the 90s. But for Day of the Tentacle, there is a special place in my heart. The drawings and animation, the characters, the humor, the story -while a bit of a cliche it's perfectly tied by many puzzles-, make Day of the Tentacle one of the greatest graphic adventure games of all time. Special mention to the spanish subtitling team in adapting the many US jokes and themes into something more palpable.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered looks and feels just as vital today as it was back in 1993. The efforts to modernize this adventure game classic are a labor of love on Double Fine's part and it shows.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered is a game I am proud to have gotten to play and experience. The game stands tall next to the great adventure games of today thanks to the improvements made to the game. If you enjoy adventure games, great puzzles, or lough out loud humor play Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

‎A piece of the universal history of video games. Well-made remastering of the classic 1993 game. If you played it, go for it. If you didn't play it, go for it. If you're thinking about it, go for it. It can not be missing in your catalog.‎

Double Fine has done another great on remastering a classic, delicately updating it in such a way that what stood out in 1993 stands out all over again more than 20 years later.

Day of the Tentacle: Remastered is a fantastic update of the original. What has needed to be updated has been, without losing the charm and cleverness of the original.

Day of the Tentacle is a classic, and this remastered version is a great way for old fans to see the time-hopping adventure looking its best. Hopefully, it’ll also give a new generation of players a chance to experience all of the silliness for themselves.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered isn't just a simple port, it's also an amazing achievement in its own right. The new visuals are gorgeous, and the gameplay has been updated to be streamlined, yet still stay true to the original. Double Fine have outdone themselves here.

After 25 years Day of the Tentacle is still a brilliant game. Irresistible, ironical, with an outstanding style and an amazing screenplay. Double Fine did a great job with the remastering process, modernizing every aspect of the game.

Recalling old games in remastered editions makes sense primarily in the case of representatives of the great classics. Day of the Tentacle is one of them. The lace work of Tim Schafer and the whole LucasArts.

Much like last year’s treatment with Grim Fandango, Double Fine have successfully restored one of the true classics of the adventure game world and it is glorious indeed. While not as deep and story-rich as last year’s offering, Day of the Tentacle more than makes up for it in humor, style, unique gameplay and a truckload of charm. So put on some Janet Jackson, travel back to an age where adventure games were king and enjoy the ride. Now to begin the wait for Full Throttle Remastered next year…

Day of the Tentacle is a classic, but not in the old musty way where you brush off a copy of some old SNES game and realize it isn’t as good as you remember. This is still one of the finest point-and-clicks ever made, with a witty story and some brain-bending puzzles. Also, a hell of a lot of dumb puns.

Want to experience the original bundle of cartoony wackiness known as Day of the Tentacle, as well as its upgraded, Remastered version? Well, look no further, because this is it. The best iteration of the classic gem of the genre, and a lesson in remasters. As for the question of who should get this, the rule is simple: adventure game haters, the exit door is on the right. The rest, please form a nice line over there and ready those wallets for some purchasing.

I found 'Day of the Tentacle Remastered' to be a shining example of how to do a remaster, and the visuals really stand tall. The original game is more accessible (and nearly modern in some aspects) than I recall. Coupled with the included 'Maniac Mansion' and Vita support, this ought to make a great adventure game romp for a great swathe of players.

Even after 23 years, Day of the Tentacle is still the same good adventure game. The time that passed since the release of the original version didn't hurt the game and it still offers plenty of humor, nice puzzles, good voice acting and hours of entertainment. The younger audience may not be fully satisfied, but every single player should still try it.

‎A great graphic adventure that returns in style with improved graphics, but with all the hallmarks that made it popular in the 90s. Do not think about it and let yourself be conquered by the Purple Tentacle.‎
