LawBreakers is easily one of the most enjoyable twitch shooters I’ve played in a long time.

Lawbreakers is a fast, fun and flashy shooter, yet, unfortunately, it suffers from obsolete ideas! To be honest, Lawbreakers has nothing new to offer comparing to its rivals and this has caused the last work of Cliff Bleszinski to attract a small number of players.

The fact that a single person can completely stop an enemy team’s push with a single stall or frag, evolves the team play to a whole other level, making LawBreakers one of the best , if not the best skill-based shooter on the current gen consoles.

Overall, Lawbreakers is a fun game to play. It’s a game where you can unwind and relax despite the chaos and frenzy that happens in game. It’s a game where you can feel like a pro or develop your skills as a pro. It’s a game that is inviting to any type of players, may you be someone new or someone who’s a veteran in shooters. It’s an entertaining game while it lasts but for how long, it is still up to its playerbase.

LawBreakers is an expertly crafted and deep hero shooter that's an original alternative to the existing crop.

his game took me back in time to great games of the past, like Unreal Tournament and Quake Arena. This has a very old-school feel to it when you play and I loved this side of the game. Just like in days of old, I’m getting fragged left right and centre, but the strange thing with this game is…….. it doesn’t make me feel like raging.

There are also areas of each map that have an anti-gravity zone which turns each game up to 11!

Boss Key's brand of role-shooter is an enjoyable rush while it lasts, but LawBreakers may not have enough beneath the surface to last the distance.

In general we can say that we are in front of a great title, really rich and varied and ready to offer interesting ideas, both at the level of fun and at the competitive level. Too bad for its little "reputation" in the community, but we hope that with time it will emerge and have the right space!

LawBreakers is highly competitive and that's what makes it fun and unique. However, it wards off casual players who are interested to play it. While Overwatch's vibrant colors give that casual feel, LawBreakers is a gloomy and a serious game that appeals to hardcore and competitive players. If Boss Key fixes the overall performance of the game and add more interesting game modes (not another Uplink/Overcharge) then probably I'll play LawBreakers a few more years before I decide to move on.

It's fast paced, it gets the gametypes right and tries to be something new instead of just releasing another generic FPS to the market.

Lawbreakers will forever be compared to Overwatch, but its much more than a clone. Thanks to the developers' roots, the fast-paced action calls back to the arena shooters of the old days. This-class based shooter successfully break the unwritten laws of the genre.

Cliff Bleszinski’s first post-Epic title successfully marries old school elements with modern hero shooter trappings without ever feeling like something we’ve played before.

If you gave me the choice between playing Overwatch and playing LawBreakers, I’d choose this. This is a game where any class is helpful and doesn’t have to rely on strict roles to be successful in each match. I do wish the tutorials would acclimate people better into the game, but it isn’t hard to grasp on your own. The modes, classes, and weapons all look and feel the sci-fi part. The biggest crime in LawBreakers is that not enough people are playing it. For what’s here, LawBreakers is a steal at its price, and an absolute blast to play solo or with friends.

LawBreakers is good. But it doesn’t feel polished to the level that frequent online shooter players have come to expect. It’s character design philosophy is often at odds with the design of its levels and game modes, and while that doesn’t completely bite away at the fun, it does do damage to what is otherwise a technically well-conceived package.

Ultimately, what sets LawBreakers aside from its competitors in a very crowded genre is its ability to create moments.

Lawbreakers has some rough edges and it’s had a bit of a bumpy launch, but under the issues is a really solid arena FPS that has wacky, chaotic, and fun moments. It could use more players and some tweaking, but it has the makings of an FPS classic.

LawBreakers is a fast, fierce, fun shooter. It's just a shame that I'm not very good at it! That's not a problem, though, thanks to the objective-based gameplay that's pushed to the forefront of this gravity-bending hero shooter. So if you, like me, are crap at shooters but really want to get involved, LawBreakers will welcome you with open arms. Then its players will crush you with mad floaty parkour skills, but that's all part of the charm. Right?
