It’s not the most difficult of games, as Kirby titles generally aren’t, but it is enormous fun, and up there as one of my all-time favourite 3DS titles.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is an excellent 3DS action platform game. It has all the charm you want from a Kirby game, but with more puzzles and action. It’s my favorite Kirby game, and is one of the best games to release this year. Simply put: Kirby: Planet Robobot is amazing.

Overall, this is a great platformer done better than most of the competition out there. If you have a 3DS then this is a necessary purchase, as it needs to be part of your gaming library.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is yet another Kirby game, which I personally consider a positive. The new abilities and mechanized gimmickry are huge fun to fiddle around with, boss encounters are beautifully delivered, and the level design is some of the series’ most accomplished.

Kirby fans deserve to play this game, heck anyone one that is fan of this genre needs to pick up Kirby Planet Robobot if they own a 3DS. It’s one of the best games released this year, and while not totally surprising, at the same time it is. All this praise and I’m mostly referring to the single player main story, but with its bevy of other cool unlockable modes and the multiplayer party like games available, there is so much content here, it’s a great price for an absolutely jam packed 3DS cartridge.

Kirby Planet Robobot continues the excellence and consistent fun and variety of the Kirby series from the past few years. It tightens up established mechanics and adds some great new ideas, which all comes together into one of the most enjoyable and genuinely friendly games I’ve played all year.

Kirby: Planet Robobot takes a lot of the good work of Kirby: Triple Deluxe and adds a mechanised spark to proceedings. The addition of Kirby in a mech is good, silly fun, and there's pleasing variety to stage designs - HAL is on good form here, with puzzles and vehicular sections in particular that enhance the overall experience. The Story Mode itself is excellent, and the extra minigames then give players more to do, not to mention the task of finding and unlocking all of the items (and stickers) in the campaign to get that 100% completion statistic. There's a lot of Kirby for your money here, and the pink fluffball is at the top of his game.

It’s probably one of the pink puffball’s shorter adventures, but the new mech gimmick provides a fun and fresh take on Kirby’s action-platforming core that I couldn’t get enough of.

Kirby Planet Robobot is not a deep game in terms of story, but it doesn't need to be. It serves up exactly what the series is known for with a new twist, and it does so with awe-inspiring ease. One of my biggest takeaways was how completely I was transported to a space of childlike joy while I played it. It's hard for a game to really strike that note of pure happiness, an emotion many of us remember from sitting in front of our Nintendo Entertainment Systems in the '80s. Making a game strictly aimed at children or adults is a challenge on its own, but hitting the sweet spot for both is what makes a classic. Kirby Planet Robobot just might be one of those.

I had a blast with this game, and it might challenge for my favourite in the series. It’s crazy, it’s fun, it’s satisfying, and it’s badass.

Kirby Planet Robobot is what you get when the developers of the solid Kirby: Triple Deluxe watch a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, play Platinum's games, and say “F%*k it, we can do that!” Solid Kirby gameplay, satisfying puzzles, quick genre shifts that help avoid monotony, tons of special homages, and a pair of endings that are going to make Platinum/Anime fans lose their sh*t. This is a game every 3DS owner should look into.

If you’re new to the series or a returning veteran ready to greet the little pink puff ball again after a long wait, you’re in store for a fantastic ride. While there may have been problems along the way, this has to be one of my favorite games to come out of this year. I hope you pick it up and give it a try.

What an absolute joy to play through. With Kirby: Planet Robobot, Nintendo and HAL have delivered not only a standard Kirby platform outing for Nintendo 3DS that matches the usual high quality levels found throughout the series, but have managed to bring many new elements into the mix to ensure that this the freshest Kirby to date, merging clever ideas from other genre stable-mates with the traditional qualities everyone knows and loves.

In this world of harshness and realism, Kirby: Planet Robobot provides a much needed light on the gaming industry which highlights that games were made for fun which many developers have missed this point. With colourful graphics, a catchy soundtrack and enduring gameplay, Kirby: Planet Robobot has just the right amount of cute, challenge and enjoyment to absolutely make this one a very memorable game of 2016.

Clever level design, nice visuals, and the added mech-suit really make Planet Robobot stand out as a Kirby title, and is one of his most enjoyable entries to date. If you enjoy classic Kirby games and are looking for a game with some real value, Kirby: Planet Robobot should be on your radar.
