Respawn has given us a lot of the elements we wanted to see in Titanfall 2 from an excellent campaign, to diverse multiplayer modes, to varied Titan types, all while keeping the soul and excitement and speed that we have come to know and love from the series. However, the game released at a really unfortunate time that resulted in almost barren multiplayer matches and long matchmaking waits.

Overall the game is wonderful and I am having an absolute blast playing it. The single player is a wonderful addition and with the beautifully told narrative it is a joy to play.

Respawn has built magnificently on the original Titanfall and crafted one of the most entertaining and downright enjoyable games of the year.

Titanfall 2 stands alone in a crowded first-person shooter market. It may be a sequel, but Titanfall 2 feels fresh, even for someone like me who put many hours into the original. Core mechanics like traversing and shooting are fun right from the get-go, and with free DLC to come, it looks like your Titan is ready.

Definitely give this one a try if you're a fan of shooters, sci-fi, big robots, or any combination of the three. I'm not walking away from this with my mind blown, but then, I'm not walking away from this at all. I'm hooked on the multiplayer and I'll be interested to see where this game goes as it's updated over time. If nothing else, buy this game to support the cause of ridding gaming of ridiculous season passes.

It’s very unfortunate and unlucky for Titanfall 2 to release in between the 2 big titles with well-established communities: Battlefield 1 and Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Even if the sales figures are not what EA and Respawn were expecting, Titanfall 2 is the best of the bunch — the underdog that deserves the spotlight. Respawn has delivered another brilliant game with an engaging story, outstanding musical score, and intense multiplayer action. Titanfall 2 deserves the spot in your library of games; and this is now one of my Top 5 Best Games of 2016.

Respawn are on the right track with the series and Titanfall 2 can truly be called a Titan in the FPS genre that many other shooters could learn a thing or two from. The timing of the release will leave you with some tough decisions to make in terms of which shooter to pick up, but one thing is certain and that is that Titanfall 2 deserves to be in your console or PC.

Titanfall 2 does not suffer from an identity crisis. It knows what it is, and what it wants, and delivers that all in an action-packed, fast paced package that comes with a stellar campaign, and an enjoyable multiplayer.

Titanfall 2 does things drastically different when compared to other shooters on the market, and it’s a breath of fresh air at times in a genre that otherwise can feel stale more often than not. If you’re looking for an excellent shooter with an amazing campaign, addicting multiplayer, and a ton of replayability, look no further. Titanfall 2 will serve you just fine for months to come.

To be perfectly candid, I didn’t expect to be floored by Titanfall 2. Given publisher EA’s relative radio silence on this title and my personal lack of enthusiasm for the original game, I went into this titanic sequel hoping for the best but honestly expecting more of the same. That said, I can’t think of the last time I was so eager to eat some crow with a side of humble pie, because Titanfall 2 is a shooter that defies all expectations.

Titanfall 2 improves upon the original Titanfall in nearly every way imaginable. Despite a few questionable changes to the multiplayer, Titanfall 2 easily falls into the rankings as one of the best first-person shooters of 2016.

Titanfall 2 does exactly what you would hope it would, by offering improvement in almost every aspect of the game. The presentation is top-notch, the campaign mode is cleverly done and the multiplayer finds better pacing with more options that should keep the community engaged for some time to come.

None of those massive shifts in the landscape of AAA shooters would have happened without Titanfall, and it’s truly groundbreaking gameplay innovations. Titanfall 2 continues this trend of innovation by featuring a character focused single player campaign in a genre obsessed with over-the-top action, and by making really smart additions to multiplayer gameplay.

"In 2014, Respawn knocked loudly on the door of the video game industry with Titanfall, and with their blockbuster of a follow-up have promptly returned to blast that very same door completely from its hinges. Its fantastic combination of fast fluid gunplay and mechanised combat in both multiplayer and through its enticingly solid single player campaign easily make Titanfall 2 one of the best and must have first-person shooters on the current market"

Shooters are a dime a dozen, it’s hard for one to stand apart from the rest without alienating genre fans, but Titanfall 2 stands confidently even in the face of other larger, titan-like releases this holiday season.

The likes of Halo 5 and Killzone: Shadow Fall have nothing on Titanfall 2. Call of Duty is perennially stuck between a rock and a hard place, unable to truly innovate, while desperately trying to stay fresh-yet-recognisable each year. Titanfall 2 is a game that can make one kill feel worth ten deaths. You’ll come for the blistering speed and agility of the action, but it’s the invention, the depth, and the unexpected heart that’ll make you stick around. That, and the fact that it’s just so damn fun. Forget the best shooter of the year; Titanfall 2 might be the best shooter of this generation. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vReOIwxI9JI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

While Titanfall 2’s campaign is a tad short for my liking and as previously stated can be finished in a single sitting of between 5-8 hours this does not detract from the brilliant campaign, the characters are amazing, voice acting is great and the level design is amazing. Plus there’s loads of variety in the missions, which is always great for an FPS game. It’s very refreshing in that context. I really wanted more of the spectacular campaign designs and story but unfortunately, you don’t always get what you want. Titanfall 2 is not just a worthy sequel to the original game, but one that improves upon the original while keeping everything that was fun in the original intact. There isn’t a shooter on the market currently that can compare to the spectacle that is Titanfall 2 even though it was released in 2016. I highly recommend picking it up even if it is only for the short campaign.
