It’s a shame that the game doesn’t live up to the series’ potential. Glitches make games harder to play, weak gameplay ruins game. I’d replay Dead Rising 3 twice instead of Dead Rising 4
Dead Rising 4 misses much of its potential and turns out as a really generic Zombie-Slasher. Besides some funny Weapons you really just get a blank Campaign with simple Boss Fights and the Multiplayer feels like a cheap Workaround for the missing Co-Op Campaign.

The game has a wonderfully insane vibe that grabs players and doesn't let go until the credits roll. If you are looking for a good bit of carnage that is a little on the offbeat side of things then Dead Rising 4 should be on your wishlist
In its attempt to draw in a casual audience, Dead Rising may alienate series veterans. While I love the direction the series is taking, I fully understand the sentiment. For those willing to accept Dead Rising 4 for what it is, they will find an over the top zombie-slaying power fantasy that leaves a few presents under your tree.
As you can tell Dead Rising 4 is a flawed experience. Veterans of the series dislike it, a myriad of technical issues (on PC), and a relatively short and lack luster campaign prevents it from being a great game altogether. If, however you can look past its blemishes and just focus on the fun part of the game then you will be rewarded with a giddy smile while getting covered in organic paste. I recommend waiting for a huge sales drop before picking this one up.
The controls might feel a bit dated, but that wont deter you from finding the next weapon or vehicle to craft and field test to your hearts content.
Dead Rising 4 is a great game, it brings an intriguing campaign in a fully realized world filled with places to explore.

Dead Rising 4 is the game the previous three Dead Rising titles should have been. With no time limit to speak of, players are given free reign to play how they want, when they want, as often as they want. This is perhaps the most liberating and accessible Dead Rising yet, and the series is all the better for it. Fans of Dead Rising should not miss this latest installment.
Dead Rising 4 took all the best parts of its predecessors and added a more sandbox type, open world exploration that is encouraged and expands on its story.
Dead Rising 4 is a good game. It's not great, and it's not bad—it's just good. Killing zombies is fun, the story isn't bad, and Frank is fun to play as with his sense of humor and "smart-ass but slightly aging journalist" schtick. It's just a bit too easy to really suck you into the gameplay, and the multiplayer is forgettable at best. You'll either love it for Frank's character and killing zombies with new toys, or you'll hate it for getting rid of your favorite features. Either way, it's an important entry in the series for Capcom Vancouver to learn what works and what doesn't.
In the end, then, my verdict is a lukewarm as the general consensus regarding Dead Rising's other sequels.
Dead Rising 4 is a fantastic game that while not being as hard or demanding as is predecessors, is still a really fun game that opens it up to new audiences and a wider player base.

Dead Rising 4 is a fun, easy to pick up game which can bring you some Christmas joy and laughs, but stops short of offering anything amazing to the series.
