Halo Wars 2 is an absolute masterstroke, taking console RTS limitations and somehow not only bypassing them, but making them unmissable features. This is one of the most well-made and cleverly designed games I have played in a long time. I hope it sets a precedent for other games to follow.

Halo Wars 2 is the best RTS you can play on consoles today. Whether you're a Halo lore junky looking to toy around with the campaign or a competitive RTS player looking for intense multiplayer matches, you can't do much better than this. Creative Assembly definitely stuck the landing with Halo Wars 2, pleasing fans of the original, bringing new players into the fold, and delivering a worthy successor to Ensemble's 2009 cult classic.
Halo Wars 2 proves that the franchise is strong enough to work extremely well in other genres. Under the careful scrutiny of 343i and Creative Assembly, Halo Wars 2 doesn't feel like a spin-off. Instead, Halo Wars 2 stands proud among the greatest games the franchise has to offer.
Halo Wars 2 is the sequel that no-one really asked for, but is a surprisingly solid traditional base-building RTS, and is finally on a platform suited for the genre. The campaign is a little lacking, but several different multiplayer modes and the promise of "six months of regular updates" make up for it.

It improves all aspects and adds new things like the addictive Blitz mode. Play alone or in company and enjoy one of the best experiences.

Whether you're engrossed into its fantastic storyline in the battle against Atriox, playing it like a classic RTS in the Deathmatch, Domination, or Stronghold game-types, or building your deck with the new and innovative Blitz mode, there's something for everyone. Halo Wars 2 is for both newbies to RTS and Halo games, as well as seasonal veterans. As for those who love both Halo and RTS, well they have an absolute treat awaiting them, as do new players alike.

Halo Wars 2 is a great console-based RTS game set in the Halo universe that offers a compelling campaign, amazing cinematics, and a breadth of multiplayer modes to keep wannabe Halo commanders busy for months.
I love Halo Wars 2. It’s not perfect. I’ve had a few bugs creep in, like going to a load screen and the little white wheel just spins and spins forever like an ADHD child in a room full of kittens, but I will forgive it because this game is the exact game I never knew I wanted.
On the one hand, Halo Wars 2 doesn't bring anything new to the genre. In addition, it is not a production without minor flaws. On the other hand, the atmosphere characteristic of the Halo series and a great multiplayer mode save the production and distinguish it from other strategies. If you like Spartan adventures and appreciate the online battle mode, you will definitely be satisfied with the purchase of Halo Wars 2.
