Dead by Daylight Reviews
Dead by Daylight is not a game that had big budgets to back it up, so not being perfect is understandable, however we do not see any excuse on not fixing the mistakes they faced on PC before the release of the console version. But to be fair, the game is highly entertaining specially if all your friends are in the same lobby playing both factions. We have hopes for the future of the game as we can see the developers are already working on new content.
Dead by Daylight: Special Edition is the same game we've played on PC a year ago, albeit with a lot of new content. Its gameplay remains fresh and fun, homewever the lack in variety might jeopardize the lasting appeal of the game, which is also threatened by a weak matchmaking.

The game has its flaws and problems and it could have done with much more variety to it. But the core is amazing. The idea is great. This is really something new and fresh in the horror genre.
Great game to play with friends or in the dark if you enjoy a thrill.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer game you'd love. The game concept is just amazing despite the small issues, but I am really excited to see how they will improve this game. It's a game you'd want to play over and over again for a few hours.
Conceptually I'm a big fan of asymmetric multiplayer, and am always eager to see how another team has tried to tackle this tricky formula...
Although I had a ton of fun with Dead by Daylight, I have to admit that playing as a survivor did become repetitive far quicker than I expected. Whether or not this is just fatigue from playing through another similar title in such close proximity, I'm not sure there's enough on offer in this category to maintain my interest for the required levelling up of each character.
Dead By Daylight has evolved into somewhat of a phenomenon, proving that the often maligned games-as-a-service model produces more than just cookie cutter loot shooters. It's still an acquired taste and a bit rough around the edges though stands out as one of the most unique ongoing multiplayer games of the generation.
Dead for Daylight for the Switch does the bare minimum you'd expect from a competent Switch port, but performance issues make the asking price hard to swallow.
It lacks polish, but Dead by Daylight is a genuinely tense ode to 80s slasher movies.
Dead by Daylight has the potential to become a cult classic among asymmetric games.
It might be short-lived and plagued by lobby issues, but Dead by Daylight is whip-smart, original, exciting and genuinely frightening. It puts you right at the centre of your own slasher movie, then asks you if you've got the guts and cunning to slay or survive. Only time will tell whether it can evolve into a long-term hit but, right now, it's a terrifying new entry on the multiplayer scene.
Dead by Daylight is a solid, exciting multiplayer game. First hours can confuse and scare you, but the satisfaction from secrets and successful escapes make a great incentive.

In the end, how much, and how long, you enjoy Dead by Daylight will completely depend on how much fun you have with those water-cooler moments you'll discuss on discord.
Dead by Daylight is a good game for playing solo or with friends. If you prefer a multiplayer game where you have to think as opposed to just shooting someone in the face, check it out.
A great idea that offers really funny and tense moments. Unfortunately, it's not as well optimised as the PC original and it lacks some more content.

Overall, there are better ways to play Dead By Daylight (it's free with Xbox Game Pass) but, it plays really well on Switch and if you don't have any other platform, it's a great game that is a worthy addition to your Switch collection.
Dead By Daylight is a fantastic concept that, in practice, needed much more work put into it. I love its 80s horror aesthetic and the occasional match can be thoroughly enjoyable. There are going to have to be a lot more changes for the thing to have any sticking power, however. Should Behavior continue to work on it, I could see Dead By Daylight turning into something I adore. Right now, it’s just not there.
The premise is amazing, and your first hour or two with the game is stellar, but the long term enjoyment you'll get out of it depends on what level of tedium you're willing to tolerate.
The PS4 version of Dead by Daylight has the same flaws of the PC edition: it's funny (especially if it's played with friends), but it also features a bad-balanced gameplay.
