Some solid puzzles can't rescue what is an otherwise terrible adventure game.

Aside from a few highlights, Syberia 3 is frustrating with a simplistic story that never captured my attention

For a game that relies on character interaction and puzzles to tell its story, Syberia 3 falls well short of being enjoyable and fails to deliver a captivating or impactful experience.

Syberia 3 brings back in a very beautiful way the genre of the graphic adventure. It has some perfomance issues and framedrops, but everyone that loves the genre shouls give it a try.

Syberia 3 is the return of a great saga and, above all, the return of Kate Walker. The story is deep and the puzzles offer some freshness, even if they are not complicated. Artistically it is very beautiful and it is maintained at the level of the previous games. Pity those optimization problems.

Flawed and often out of touch, Syberia 3 only serves a dedicated clutch of fans that have spent the past decade looking for closure to a beloved series. To anyone else, it will come across as a bizarre and mostly impenetrable relic that feels out of place among 2017's slate of releases.

We didn't actually need Syberia 3: a senseless tryout for bringing a perfectly closed serie back in the spotlight. Syberia 3, with its mediocre (disappointing) narration and its poor technical design, should have remained Microïds' secret wish.

Syberia 3 means the return of the saga in full. A long wait that's been worth it despite some technical issues.

Syberia 3 isn't a bad game by any means and offers up an immersive story… If you can make it past the horrific graphical hindrances that is.

Horrible to control, horrible to listen to, really surprisingly ugly to look at, and and all-round mess, I've no desire to put myself through this. So, I shall state for the record: Maybe it's amazing! I mean, it obviously isn't, because it seems unlikely they'll fire the voice cast and implement a new control system some hours into the game, but I can't assure you they haven't. What I can assure you is I've been here too often, seen this too many times, to put myself through it again.

Syberia was a series built around amazing puzzles and unique storytelling. Syberia 3 was an opportunity to bring all of that to a new generation. Unfortunately, it has remained mired in the pixel-hunting past, riddled with bugs, obtuse controls, and an uninspired storyline coupled with head-scratching voice work. I wanted to enjoy Syberia 3, but too many issues may leave this series stuck in the frozen snow.

Despite being a technical disaster, the first hours of Syberia 3 are promising. Unfortunately, the game quickly gets too nostalgic, without finding the courage to complete the renovation process we all expected. A real missed opportunity.

Syberia 3 is another useless sequel to the cult game. Some interesting puzzles and great music can't save the project, filled with scenario holes, crooked mechanics and technical problems. If you want to play classical adventure game, then choose a gorgeous Thimbleweed Park and last year's remake of King's Quest, where everything is done right. Or, alternatively, just buy the first Syberia.

This game feels like it should've come out over a decade ago, and even then, it still wouldn't have been ready for release. Some sprawling mechanical puzzles, an intriguing world, and a solid soundtrack can't save Syberia 3 from its disappointing delivery. Poor writing and even worse voice acting make its humdrum story a chore to chew through. With major technical issues in tow along with too much errand-like gameplay, the series should've waved a final goodbye like its protagonist in her last outing.

There is a fantastic game buried in there somewhere and one good patch and a price drop are all it needs to be worthwhile.

It took 13 years for Kate Walker to come back, but it might have been better for Syberia fans if she never did. Syberia 3 is a disappointing adventure game that retained nothing of the best features of the previous entries in the series, introducing so many changes that simply don't work as intended or are marred by poor design choices, making it a worthy purchase only for the most die-hard Kate Walker fans.

If this is the final Syberia game, perhaps it's for the best. Pure point-and-click adventure games are becoming rarer and rarer these days, and this entry does nothing to instill confidence in the genre. Between the glaring technical issues, over-the-top antagonists, and even lazy captioning, Syberia 3 is not recommended at its launch price of $39.99. If you absolutely need to complete Kate Walker's story, then perhaps wait until the price comes down, and play an adventure game that got things right, such as King's Quest.

Syberia 3 has been stuck in development hell for seven years, and the final product is a technical shamble that delivers next to no enjoyment, playing as if it needed to be there for three times as long.

Syberia 3 is just flat-out bad – an ugly, buggy, irritating, insulting title that should never have seen the light of day.

Adventure with clever puzzles, that stumbles over stubborn controls, technical quirks and stained graphics.
