Crush Your Enemies Reviews
There's nothing inherently wrong with Crush Your Enemies. It's presented nicely, has some nice, clean mechanics and is cleverly designed to be playable in short bursts of time. But it's also a strategy game that struggles to encourage players to be strategic, and its best feature, the multiplayer, is dead on release.
Crush your Enemies! is a fun strategy title on Switch that fills a need that I didn't realize I had. By cutting out a lot of the hoops RTS players are accustomed to jumping through, the shiny core of the genre is revealed.
Crush Your Enemies had the potential to be a fun strategy title that would be interesting to play with a friend. The controls make it difficult to enjoy because of time goals that get destroyed by futzing with the control stick to make selections and direct your little army to conquer each level. Avoid this one unless it goes on sale and you think you can tolerate the control schema.
Overall, Crush Your Enemies! is a fun minimalist Real-Time Strategy release on Nintendo Switch that is fun to play in short burst here and there as well as for longer playing sessions. There's a ton of levels to complete, and your time playing the game will be increased considerably if you aim at completing all extra objectives so that you can 100% all stages. Are you up to the challenge?
If you take away every word of written dialogue and every story note of this game, it could be tolerable, although it still wouldn't control well without a touch or mouse interface. If you want to try this game, I suggest a different platform.
