Road to Ballhalla Reviews
This inventive ball-rolling adventure is full of flair with crisp and clean visuals that is then accentuated by a punchy soundtrack. Road to Ballhalla is familiar by looks, but is anything what you expect when you actually start playing. Road to Ballhalla is a surprise in all the best ways.
It’s not often that an excellent puzzle game comes out that is both original and well executed. Road to Ballhalla is a solid title that should give you hours and hours of fun. I do recommend playing with a good set of headphones so you can get into the groove with the excellent soundtrack.
Road to Ballhalla is fun take on rolling ball puzzle game. It's easy to get, but mastering every level will take a lot of time, patience and tries.

There’s a lot to love about Ballhalla, even without mentioning its art style that’s gleaming with colour, or its foreboding electronic soundtrack which is evocative of Frozen Synapse’s. What could so easily have ended up as a perfunctory effort bolstered only by inventive marketing, as I feared was the case, has actually turned out to be an inventive and joyous ride.
While Road to Ballhalla is very simple in its design, it packs limitless potential into its tiny design. With ever evolving level structure and new obstacles emerging right up until the end, Road to Ballhalla is fun little throwback to some of gaming's earliest forms.
Road to Ballhalla then is a fun old time and whilst it isn’t going to blow you away in terms of original mechanics or gameplay, the smart and fiendish level designs, sense of humour and replay factors are enough for us to recommend it, especially if you’re going to want something to play on a journey. There’s enough here to keep your brain ticking over for a good while, and the sense of completion is hugely satisfying.
Road to Ballhalla is a surprisingly great puzzle game. At first glance, it may not seem like much, but the game is hilariously narrated and the levels get more and more challenging the further you get. Maybe not one for those who get frustrated easily, but for the rest of us, this brilliant little ball-based rhythmic puzzle game is very enjoyable and bound to keep you entertained for hours upon hours. Can you cautiously work your way through all of the obstacles blocking you from getting to your final resting place?
Road to Ballhalla is a simple idea with enough neat additions of its own to keep you engaged throughout its twenty-plus levels. Filling that Super Monkey Ball sized gap nicely, this fiendishly difficult ball rolling experience may be a little on the short side but should please those after a challenge they can easily jump in and out of.
A good touch of humor in his proposal, a pleasant taste of Marble Madness and puzzles and platforms following the rhythm of music, in an interesting title of search for the 'sky' for our protagonist pellet.

The first thing you’ll notice is that aside from the somewhat unusual style of play the game has a wicked sense of humor at times...
I found myself having an exceptionally enjoyable time with Road to Ballhalla as I played.
A great union of retro flare and novel concepts, strengthened by solid mechanics and some great music, Road to Ballhalla is sure to provide many with at least some entertainment, especially those who favor arcade-style gaming.
Road to Ballhalla is a lot of fun, with a great visual style and soundtrack, let down by a unenjoyable difficulty level.
Even if you don't have a fondness for Amiga like I do, it is a wonderful contemporary take on a classic puzzle platformer with a visual flair, well-thought-out puzzles, and a cheeky personality. Attention to detail was paid in making Road to Ballhalla, and elevates it from good to great.
It is a shame that every level is so well done and all required so much work, in terms of visual and audio presentation, that it means there are so few levels overall
Even for someone as apathetic and straight-faced as me, I rarely deny comedy the opportunity to lift a smile on my face.
Road to Ballhalla is a great mixture of a puzzle and platformer all about survival. It's challenging but fun. It's a good one to pick up and play as you go.
Road to Ballhalla provides fun levels and interesting ideas wrapped in an awesome soundtrack. Not all of its ideas are winners, but more than enough manage to be to keep this ball rolling.
Despite the punishing difficulty, Road to Ballhalla just has that special something that can keep players coming back. A sleek visual design, a fantastic supporting soundtrack, and clever puns and gentle mocking of your failures all come together to make something that’s as fun as it is frustrating.
