LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Reviews
Marvel Super Heroes is the latest, possibly greatest, in the revered LEGO games franchise. The Wii U's exclusive benefit of each player having their own screen is a big deal, but this is a fun game regardless of the platform you play it on.
It's Lego, it's Marvel, it's pretty awesome - a must for any kid who loves The Avengers, X-Men, Spiderman, hell there is too many to name! There are still some issues that have come across from previous Lego games preventing it from being a perfect experience but its audience won't care one little bit. Hulk smash!
TT Games' LEGO Marvel Super Heroes presents a nice break from the complex sports titles and intense shooters that overrun the console. That's not to say the game doesn't offer it's own action, but it's much less in your face. Plus, it's LEGO.
For Marvel comics readers, there is an amazing fan-fare dedication to enjoy here and for everyone else, it's an action-packed, casual, and thoroughly fun experience.
It's not a hard game by any means. Most puzzles are simple and straightforward, and missions always give you prompts as to which character is necessary for each obstacle.
In conclusion, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is easily the best LEGO game on any console that not only pays homage to the world of Marvel superheroes but boasts great gameplay that can be enjoyed by both adults and kids. Brilliant level design, great replay value, gaming doesn't get any better than this on the PS4. However hopefully next time, they can include online multiplayer.
One of the worlds most popular franchises mixes with arguably the worlds favourite building bricks.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is an enjoyable mash-up of every single Marvel character you can think of in a unique LEGO environment. It's not my favorite LEGO game, however the sheer amount of Marvel characters makes it fun for any fan. Keep in mind this is an eight-year-old game, so maybe watch for a sale on this one.
Traveller's Tales has been creating Lego games for a long time now. They have found a formula that works exceptionally well and continue to breath life into a genre that is mostly looked down upon – the licensed videogame. With each new offering I continue to find improvements and more reasons to tap into my inner Lego spirit. Although I continue to hold out hope for the much-needed option of online co-op, I remain generally satisfied to enjoy their games the good old-fashioned way – on the couch with a friend or family member. 'Lego Marvel Super Heroes' is a treat for gamers of all ages and is sure to impress even the most finicky of Marvel fans. In a gaming landscape that tends to be oversaturated with bleak and apocalyptic story arcs, 'Lego Marvel Super Heroes' is a ray of sunshine that is certain to warm the heart and remind you that video games are meant to be fun.
This is not only TT Games' finest LEGO game, it's the only good Marvel game you'll play for the foreseeable future. Heaps of replayability, great writing and endearing gameplay makes this TT's definitive work.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes isn't the best LEGO game to date, but it is one of those series that even if it is listed at the bottom of the series, it still offers more value and more fun than other series can ever hope to achieve.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is exactly what it sets out to be: a fun, family-friendly romp through the Marvel Comics universe. It's not perfect, but it's definitely not bad.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is one of the most solid entries in the LEGO franchise to date. It has a huge cast of characters, a fun world to explore, and tons of content. It doesn't break the mold in any way, but it offers a good experience, so it's possible to overlook the lack of major upgrades. It isn't the most impressive debut for the LEGO franchise as a next-gen title, but it's acceptable, even if it makes limited use of the power of the PS4. Traveller's Tales has made yet another excellent game that is accessible to players of all ages. If you or your kids like LEGO titles, you'll certainly enjoy this trip into the Marvel universe.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. LEGO. Marvel. Super Heroes. It's about time, frankly.
If you have kids and they love any of the Marvel superheroes, I could definitely recommend this game to them. Otherwise, you can le'go of any hope that this game could be enjoyable.
Everything about LEGO Marvel Super Heroes feels like a labor of love from TT Games. While it could have easily cut down on the amount of content and created just as successful a title, it instead built something far bigger. The result is a game filled with diverse playable characters, a New York City that feels ripped out of the comics and sights and sounds that bring the whole thing to life.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a classic entry in the long-running licensed Lego game franchise that provides solid fun with a friend. With that being said, many of its successors have since surpassed its level of quality so it feels a bit dated in comparison.
A packed roster with the Marvel licence, could this be the best Lego game yet?
There are not many games I feel compelled to return to after reviewing them, but Lego Marvel Super Heroes is the rare exception.
My Final Thought is that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on the Nintendo Switch is an absolute must for not just fans of the Lego franchise but for the Marvel Universe as well. This game was an absolute blast to play. I could quite easily play through the whole game again because it is just that good. Please do yourself a favor and pick this game up. You will not be disappointed. So it is with great pleasure to give LEGO Marvel Super Heroes the Thumb Culture Platinum Award. It truly deserves it.
