It’s an eccentric title but its quirks and flaws somehow make it even more charming and quintessentially British.

Although this game just secretes good vibes, it's never funny or clever enough to pass the critical eye. However, its light-heartedness and character is enough to play it through, and will have you dancing to the beat of the game for its duration.

I highly recommend that you get Wailing Heights. The amount of enjoyment that you will get from the game is more than worth its asking price. The excellent art style, funky gameplay mechanics, the great soundtrack, everything is just great in this game! The game has 11 trophies in total, which means it's a pure Gold trophy list with a Platinum trophy for you! I had a blast playing this one, and I hope that we get a sequel!

The look of the game is by far one of the most impressive aspect it has to offer.

Wailing Heights' presentation is perfectly in-tune, but its gameplay is out of time. While it neatly repurposes some old point-and-click tropes, it doesn't quite have enough quality to match the ambition of the classics it's so clearly inspired by. There are some laugh out loud moments and some real ear-worm audio, but it's not quite enough to demand front-row seats for The Deadbeats' reunion tour.

Despite having a few drawbacks in terms of gameplay, story direction, and in-game frustration, Wailing Heights manages to provide players with a uniquely fun experience.

I thought the game looked kind of silly and fun when I first saw it, but I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Sure, it was frustrating at times as I ran around the town with each character trying to trigger the one specific thing I needed to do to advance the story, and yeah there are some minor bugs that cause your characters to freeze or disappear behind some level architecture. But after the game was over, I had forgotten most of my previous complaints and found that I had legitimately enjoyed playing it. This has somehow become one of my favorite games, and I couldn't be happier about that.
