Silence is a beautiful game that combines emotional themes with breath-taking art and music. It works fantastically as a cinematic experience and takes its players on a concise yet fun adventure, integrating puzzles along the way. Daedelic have done an excellent job exploring the space between life and death, touching on dark and abstract feelings in a delicate and thoughtful way. It’ll definitely be interesting to hear what fans of ‘The Whispered World’ make of this game, nonetheless, I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys this genre.

A delightful point'n click adventure with lots of deep characters and an interesting plot, decorated with an impressive artistic aspect. It may be too easy, but it's very enjoyable.

Silence may just be Daedalic’s finest hour and, minor gripes aside, is the modernisation of the adventure game we’ve all been waiting for.

It’s reminiscent of the best of ’70s and ’80s children’s cinema, like The Secret of Nimh. It embraces a youthful vigor while introducing and exploring adult concepts. Honestly, if this were cut into a movie, I would be first in line for a copy of my own. As a game, it can be tedious at times as success is mostly left to random bumping into the walls until the right thing happens. All in all, it’s easy to enjoy the Silence.

Silence is made up of easy puzzles and it just lasts for about six hours, but the art direction is mesmerizing and the main characters are so well written. It is an enchanting interactive fairy tale and it will surely move you.

The brevity of Silence doesn't detract from the emotional rollercoaster of its story, nor its truly gorgeous world.

Silence is a game that can capture through its beautiful graphics and setting and its good soundtrack that makes story stories rich in patos. Obviously, the game is based on the tip and click and may not be appreciated by those who do not like the genre, but lets it play without problems, because it is accompanied by fairly simple puzzles that leave more room for story and narration.

Silence tries to modernise the point-and-click adventures thanks to a more interactive control system and a simplification of the puzzles, that makes them well integrated to the narrative.

Silence is a breathtakingly beautiful game. There are so many moments where I just stopped and stared at what was going on around me. You can tell that some people have poured a lot of themselves into this title and through that it's definitely a unique experience. I cared about the characters, I was excited to find out more of the world, at times just to see what they’d drawn, I was surprised with the variation of gameplay that kept coming up and the story line really struck a chord with me, the ending especially. This game is one that is going to stick with me for quite a while.

"Misgivings about its narrative shortcomings, occasional dips in voice acting quality and its constant referencing of The Whispered World aside, I’ve found Silence to be thoroughly enjoyable. It’s characters, although not terribly developed are fleshed out enough for the player to be invested. Each location is depicted with overwhelming attention to detail and the characters’ faces are masterfully animated. It’s one of the best-looking games I’ve ever played and it touches on fantasy themes I enjoy greatly, such as dying worlds, fish out of water and battles against overwhelming odds. It’s for this reason that I regret it even more that it wasn’t given the opportunity to further dive into the world and characters and achieve excellence. As it stands it’s just a great, fun journey, albeit a predictable one."

Silence is good story focused adventure game in a nice looking cartoon coat. Its only downside is its short playing time.

Silence is a charming if challenging adventure in a world of dreams with inventive, if sometimes harder than necessary, puzzles. The setting and a gorgeous aesthetic add to the charm. Great voicework with interesting characters make this worth a look.

Silence is a gorgeous game to see and hear. While it makes a bold attempt at an emotional and deep storyline, everything falls flat due to a failure to give the player a reason to care about the characters.

I saw from a mile away from what was coming, and even so, in the story's final moments, I could only sit there in stunned, thoughtful silence.

Silence stayed true to its name with a quiet release and little fanfare heading into December. It ended up being one of my most memorable and enjoyable games of the entire year.

Despite a plot that shines through its absence, and that doesn't make any connection with the player, and although the puzzles offered here are insanely easy, the magnificently beautiful fantasy land of Silence is definitely worth traversing… but only if you are very young, or at least a complete and utter beginner in the genre.

If an adventure game was only judged by its graphics and music, Silence would have been highly recommended. The world that Noah and Renis explores is stunning, with rich environments and a fantastic use of colour. The soundtrack is appropriate for every situation and quite good. However, the rest of the game suffers due to an uneven story and poorly written characters. There are a handful of charming and even brilliant moments, but they're sandwiched in between occurrences that will only confuse and frustrate the viewer. This is a game of peaks and valleys, and it ends after going over a cliff.
