As a remaster of a once (probably still) a great series, it doesn’t seem to be worthy of the title “remastered” as a lot is left to be desired in terms of gameplay mechanics, lack of historic bug fixes and underwhelming graphic improvement.

The best Assassin's Creed sequel with the most gorgeous cities. Plenty of visual improvements and detailed texture, but it still brings back the old problems, with bad controls and an outdated combat system. if you are a fan of Ezio and don’t mind the outdated gameplay elements, then this collection is right for you. However, if you’re new to the series, then this collection won’t live up to the standards of current generation games.

An arbitrary remaster collection that fails to do justice to the memory of the originals.

Not a great trio of remasters (although also far from the worst) but Assassin’s Creed II’s best qualities still make it one of the highlights of the franchise.

Ezio’s trilogy helped build Assassin’s Creed into the giant franchise it is today thanks to its fantastic storytelling, amazing characters, and gorgeous world building. And while all of that is still here in The Ezio Collection, the lack of meaningful improvements and any sort of substantial bonus content make it a tough compilation to recommend.

The trilogy of adventures of Ezio Auditore da Firenze is, according to many players, the best period in the history of the Assassin's Creed series.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is the first time that these three games can be experienced on a Nintendo console and the result is nothing but positive. Other than the value of playing the three games starring Ezio, it's possible to enjoy the improvements from one game to the other and its many hours of action, as well as the two short films included in the collection. Not all is perfect and some visual choices, as well as the presence of some outdated mechanics, will raise eyebrows but this is a great opportunity to experience three Assassin's Creed classics, whether for the first time or as a revisit.

At the cost of a full retail release you will receive three of the strongest Assassin’s Creed titles + DLC + bonus content. Fan of the franchise or not Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection is certainly worthy of a spot in any gamer’s library.

Ubisoft brings together three of the most important games of the Assassin's Creed series, forgetting the years that have passed since their release date. The increase in resolution is not enough to modernize gameplay that has been stopped while the world has evolved.

Regardless of what you think about the quality or effort put into this remaster, the underlying games that inhabit Ezio Collection are still very solid games, with a lot of great content to plough through for a reasonable asking price. It's just a little bit of a shame that these don't have the wow factor that improved models or even 60fps might have brought. Still, an improvement is an improvement, if only slight.

For newcomers to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, this is the place to start — and with the Master Assassin, no less. For others, it’s probably one to miss, unless you really, really want to get back into the thick of things.

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch brings to Nintendo's hybrid console a triptych of chapters a little afflicted by the ravages of time, but still precious for the historical memory of the franchise.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is a great compilation of some of the series' most highly-regarded entries. Aside from some combat that lacks depth and a convoluted story, each of the three games included here are absolutely worthy of your time. There's still plenty of fun to be had if this is your first set of Assassin's Creed games, with the cities still managing to impress with their sense of scale and historical detail, but some of the dated gameplay elements and glitches may make other entries a better jumping off point. The Rebel Collection is a very fine alternative if you want slightly more modern interpretations of the series, with a seafaring bent. However, if you're already a fan and are able to tolerate its foibles - old and new - Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is an enjoyable trip into (video game) history and an easy recommendation.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection remasters what are considered some of the best games in the series alongside Black Flag. Parts of the games admittedly haven’t aged as well but the story continues to be a compelling one even today. Overall, the lack of significant new content means there’s less reason for series vets to don the assassin’s hood yet again though newcomers will find a lot to enjoy in this one.
