Hitman: Season 1 isn’t bad, but it is unremarkable. 47 is back, but the game doesn’t provide enough reasons for why anyone should care.

Hitman is the next installment into the Hitman franchise. It's a call back to its roots and ditches the over dramatic and gimmicky installments we have been seeing. I.O Interactive has tried to make a turn in what we are getting from Hitman. We interviewed the voice of Hitman last year about the game, and he explained his newest role in the game. While there isn't as much dialog or story we are seeing in some of the older games, there is a return to the Hitman feel of the first games.

Hitman Season 1 as a whole is a delight for new players who enjoy Hitmans' method of play, and veterans who can make do without a challenge. Even with its faults, the base formula that made the series great can be found here in all its glory. This doesn't mean the game does not have flaws and, depending on how you value the aspects it fails in, may eventually prove to be a downer for you.

Fun, but too much emphasis on ‘sandbox’ rather than a narrative that would justify monthly episodes.

While it took a while to realise IO Interactive’s vision, Hitman Season One is an outstanding achievement and revitalises the series. There is a lot replayability thanks to the Contract, Elusive Target and Escalation modes, the levels are varied and encourage exploration, and constant title updates have ensured a smoother overall experience.

IO Interactive took a very brave step when releasing Hitman episodically, something which has absolutely paid off. Their constant support through updates, free bonus missions and elusive targets makes it a game worth coming back to on a regular basis and has strengthened their loyal fanbase, already resulting in the announcement of a second season. Hitman’s history of weak plots is certainly not going to end with this release but despite the long load times on consoles, the incredible amount of choice presented to you with every stunningly-crafted and unique level this game is a must-buy for anyone who enjoys plotting, planning and dropping a giant stuffed moose onto a corrupt CEO.

I'm still really iffy on the episodic release even after everything finally came together. Still, if this is what it takes to have Hitman come back, I'll take it and just wait for the next season to be finished. If you are an old school Hitman fan or just like assassination games, check out Hitman Season 1.

The perfect game for those who love stealth games, and a successful return to the classic form of Hitman. Hitman fans will find all of the things they missed in "Hitman: Absolution", and those who are new to the series will enjoy a very unique stealth game that will keep them engaged for a long while.

agent 47 returns this generation with even bigger adventure and diverse targets than any installment in Hitman Series, the game has so many options to approach missions or killing your targets, but giving so much intention to those details affected the story whether length or content, but the game should fulfill Hitman die hard fans ambitions.

Part genius, part uninspiring, Hitman is brimming with potential that's partially realized in the game's well-designed levels. At its best, it empowers you with the ability to get creative when tackling objectives. At its worst, it breaks the immersion it tries so hard to build.

Travel the world, visit exotic distant lands, meet exciting and unusual people…and kill them. The Hitman: Season One edition has definitely been worth the wait for any hesitant stealth fans that were unwilling to buy into Square Enix's original episodic vision. Bolstered with enough additional content to keep even the most dedicated contract killer occupied for the foreseeable future, it boasts enough variables to enjoy an almost infinite replay value. Figuring out fresh and inventive new ways of delivering death to a bunch of evil wrongdoers never gets old (which ironically also applies to anybody unfortunate enough to find their name on Agent 47's to do list).

Who cares about the episodic release when Hitman Season 1 can offer a compelling, smart and entertaining experience, just like Hitman games should do? The gameplay is strong and, despite a plot that is lacking deepness, the season is fun and some maps, like Sapienza and Hokkaido, have a lot of replay value.

The Complete First Season of Hitman pays attention to detail, offering great variety and huge re-playability in the process. Despite a few dips in the level design and atrocious voice acting, this is a stealth experience to die for.

Hitman: The Complete First Season is an experiment gone right. How convenient, then, that IO's triumphant return is also all about experimentation. The canvasses and settings that Hitman provides allows for all kinds of hits, from the wacky to the professional – and the sheer amount of equipment at your disposal only furthers the possibilities. While lacking in story, Hitman has a glorious future ahead of itself – providing the inevitable Season 2 is as good as the first, of course.

With massive levels, a multitude of challenges, targets, and assassination techniques, Hitman is IO's most ambitious game in the series. Stealth, action, brutality, hilarity, Hitman debuts impressively in its first season.

Following a short hiatus, we’ll no doubt see a second season of missions crop up, and this excites me. Hitman may have its shortcomings, but with a few smart revisions this could easily become one of the best game series to appear on current consoles.
