I, Zombie feels a lot like a flash game from sites such as Newgrounds, and expecting that level of quality will net you a fun and short experience. However, that is the extent the game has to offer.

I, Zombie is a fun arcade-style release with some light RTS elements thrown in for goof measure that offers a solid 30 stages from the development team that you should be able to complete in less than an hour at most, with perhaps an extra 20-30 minutes if you need to replay some of the tricky stages as you try to get a better overall time or a three star rating.

I, Zombie is a fun arcade-style puzzle RTS-lite release on Nintendo Switch that is available for only $4.99. The included stages are more than enough to recommend the game, and when you add the possibility of making your own levels, as well as being able to play those created by players from around the world, it's a no-brainer.

While not great, it's an enjoyable way to kill some time. It's a nice palette cleanser from all of the AAA games on the market at the moment. If you're into short experiences and casual games that you can have fun with a few minutes at a time, I, Zombie is worth checking out.

I, Zombie brings a fun challenge based on a complete reversal of the zombie apocalypse concept that has proven to be so popular in gaming. Thanks to its original approach to the theme, I, Zombie stand out compared to other zombie games, even if it's rahter short and its missions somewhat repetitive.

I, Zombie is a decent if short distraction that offers you the chance to play as a zombie and get your own back on the trigger-happy human race. Its gameplay may be overly simplistic but it’s fun enough to keep you engaged to the end. Unlike a zombie, this game is no rotting mess but it could certainly be a little fresher.

Players who enjoy bite-sized puzzlers (with a bit of challenge to boot) and the ability to create their own levels might find this worth trying out. If you're looking for something deeper, though, be mindful that, in this case, you're not going to get much more than you're paying for.

The overall experience I had with I, Zombie was a lackluster one. The gameplay was great mechanically, but the art, sound, and challenge were lacking anything that made this experience a memorable one. There were only a couple stages where I felt a challenge, and those few puzzles didn't give me a sense of accomplishment that was strong enough to make me want to stick around.

This is a terrible game for the Switch. There’s literally no strategy involved in playing and the game is so generic that it’s almost an insult to see the icon on my Switch home screen. Even though it’s only $5, spend that elsewhere and thank me later.

All said while the number of levels is a bit on the short side I, Zombie has quite a lot to like about it, especially at it’s very budget-friendly price. The mix of action, puzzle, and strategy elements is novel and can be challenging in places. While I wish there were more of the levels where you remotely control your zombies to bring your army towards you I found their inclusion to be a particular stroke of genius and am hoping people are inspired to make more of them. Assuming the community at least modestly supports the game with new levels I think it is a great value and well worth giving a look.

This kind of game flies by okay as a little mobile time waster, but a PlayStation 4 experience needs to offer much more than this.

In the end, I, Zombie creates a fun, approachable setting that’s still plenty challenging.
