Thrilling at first for Star Trek faithful, but lacks the depth for long-term engagement

Playing Star Trek: Bridge Crew is every Trek fan's dream, giving you the opportunity to sit on the bridge of a Federation starship. It's a great co-op game for VR, but takes a few direct hits when played with AI and when you think about the balance between roles and the mission structure. Even so, with the Trek license lending this game an awful lot of atmosphere and the paucity of must-have VR games right now, this is still a near essential buy.

Being on the bridge of a Starfleet ship in VR is a very satisfying experience, as long as you are a Star Trek fan of course. But after this very good first impressions, Star Trek Bridge Crew lacks a bit of surprise and variety in its missions.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew brings a great VR experience, along with a fun multiplayer mode. Homewever, its lack in variety and content and its tedious single player mode prevents us from recommending the game to everyone. Hardcore Star Trek fans may consider an immediate purchase, while others should better wait for a price cut.

Star Trek Bridge Crew puts you in the seat of a Federation starship where you can be captain or crew. The game shines when playing with other human beings, but fails greatly when playing with AI. An excellent experience for the trekker inside you, if you find a suitable crew to play with.

If you dream of being on a Starfleet vessel, commanding the starship or punching it into warp, you won't find any better alternatives.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a fun simulator game. It lets you experience manning a spaceship in outer space. It’s a nice little escape if you’ve ever dreamed of going beyond the space frontier. I really loved staring at its visuals. The vast expanse of space was just breath-taking. I just wish that we could have played this game without having to be always online. But if you have the means to do so, then I would recommend that you play this game. I’ll see you guys in the space frontier. Long live and prosper!

Star Trek: Bridge Crew feels like a promising first draft of a fantastic Trek simulator, but it only goes boldly for a few hours. After the novelty of finally sitting on a beautiful Federation starship bridge wears off and you've exhausted the handful of mission types, all that's left is the goofy physical comedy of messing around with your friends or strangers in VR. That's nothing to scoff at, but with such a basic combat system and so much time spent twiddling virtual thumbs in two of the four chairs, Bridge Crew's needs a refit before it'll be ready for anything close to a five-year mission.

Bridge Crew is pure fan service. Being a member os USS Aegis Crew feels amazing in VR, but missions are too limited, and technical aspects are too simple. Enjoyable if you find three more friends to share this voyages to deep space.

This may be a VR dream come true for Trekkies, but it's one you wake up to discover is severely lacking in variety, depth, and value for money.

It's still somewhat thrilling to inhabit the captain's chair on the bridge of a starship--at the bare minimum, Star Trek: Bridge Crew accomplishes that mission. When the game is at its best, the spirit of cooperation between various asymmetrical elements is encouraging--even special. In every other regard, however, Bridge Crew is forgettable the second you pull out of VR.

We are facing a good experience of virtual reality, but only advisable if you are a big fan of star Trek. The game will only require you to play buttons for hours. Of course, aboard a ship of the universe Star Trek.

Brushing its hilariously goofy teamwork aside, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a shallow, repetitive experience that even the most optimistic Star Trek fans will struggle to sink their teeth into. It's a missed chance at making piloting your own craft a pleasure, and a sore disappointment.

Overall, Star Trek Bridge Crew is a solid experience. A couple of small details to maybe work on but these can easily be addressed in future updates. The Co-Op is fun and better then the single player missions, but single player as well as the tutorial allows you time to get used to the somewhat complex controls and help not make you look like a total newb when going into the real thing with other people online.
