Splasher may have a degree of difficulty that may drive some away and an auto-aim that can be frustrating. It has solid controls and platforming that I would recommend to anybody who wants to scratch that Rayman or Super Meat Boy hole they may not have realized they have been needing to fill.

Welcome back, ladies and germs! Being disgustingly sick all week has crippled my throat and lungs, leaving me high and dry on streaming and podcasting. As it turns out, however, my lucrative mind and fingers still function as intended and brings us to yet another TAKEALOOKSEE! With Jason giving us the deep cuts back in its PC release in February, indie developer Splashteam's Splasher takes to the field on Switch consoles this time around!

Splasher‘s brilliance is clear to see, and it is not hard to come to understand why it has become so popular with speedrunners – especially thanks to the chance to switch to Time Attack mode on the fly, challenging you to complete each level as fast as possible in competing in the online leaderboards. The Nintendo Switch may already be home to a fair few platformers, but Splasher will long linger in your memory for all the right reasons. Slick and tuned to perfection, it’s another Nintendo eShop release that’s not to be missed.

Splasher is a platformer that wears its influences on its sleeve from a story taken straight from Oddworld and gameplay that can almost match Rayman. The game offers a nicely refined platforming experience that really nails the fast and fluid style, the game is a great showcase of how these games should play and the only praise this game needs is that I would like to see a sequel that expands on these ideas.

A fun solid 2d Platformer. I uses gel types to allow the player to paint the walls and use them to explore entire levels. Perfect for speed runners, but still a solid game for everyone else.

Splasher is a nice platformer that can provide hours of fun, but it puts a lot of weight on speed runs. Unfortunately the numer of players is too small for any meaningful competition. Even mediocre time will give you place in top 100, but you may never beat number 1.

With its color-based goo mechanics, Splasher’s platforming turns into a manic mix of climbing, bouncing and dodging. The talent behind this title is evident, and it’s sure to entertain fans of platforming with its fun yet challenging levels.

Horrifying experimentation. Death-defying leaps of faith. Buzzsaws of DEATH. These are the challenges that await you in “Splasher”, a new platformer available now on Steam from SplashTeam.
