With its new narrative and additional characters being as well-received as they are, Road to Boruto is a solid expansion that is somewhat let down by uneven side quests and a far too brief story mode.

Expansions are rare when it comes to fighting games, but Road to Boruto manages to add a reasonable chunk of content to a brawler that's already stuffed with things to do. Most of what's on offer is nothing new, but if you've been looking for an excuse to leap back into CyberConnect 2's super polished title, then this additional adventure is as good a reason as any.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto is a must-buy for fans of Naruto and the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, but it ultimately brings nothing new to the table. It's well worth the cost of the DLC, and those who have yet to pick up Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 now have a further reason to do so with the complete edition. That being said, with the recent serialisation of the Boruto manga and an incoming anime, it would have been preferable to see an "Ultimate Boruto Storm," not to mention it would have been nice to see more playable characters from the Boruto series and perhaps a covering of "The Scarlet Spring" or "Naruto the Last" added to this, too.

There simply isn’t enough content in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto. Not recommended to anyone.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 went out on top when it released last year and Road to Boruto is an extension of that finale from CyberConnect 2 that brings the series full circle.

It's great to see the life of this really fun 3D fighter extended with more content across the board. Picking up Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 again, the mechanics of the fighting are just as easy to get into and as exciting as they were on release. Road to Boruto doesn't add a crazy amount of new content (and considering the anime movie is well over a year old by this point, not all that new), but what it does add is nothing but good. It would have been nice to see more, but there isn't a whole lot more of the Boruto story out there yet. It does prove that more Ultimate Ninja Storm is definitely a good thing — and maybe we'll see it return in the future.

The Road to Boruto expansion for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 offers more of the same over-the-top action, which for many players will be enough for them to part with the cash.

Road To Boruto is a successful expansion that provides more of what fans of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series love. Fun characters, including the adult versions of those that Naruto fans have grown up with, an enjoyable storyline, and yet more visually incredible battles to take part in. If this is genuinely the end of the CyberConnect2's Ninja Storm run, they've gone out on a high.

A good DLC, a bit better than the big DLC of the previous game. A bunch of the trademark “cinematic fights” new characters and old characters with new animations. Lots of sidequests to try everything out. A good ending so far to the Naruto tale.

Road to Boruto is a great expansion. It offer the correct amount of content and presents it in a creative way that justifies a return to the game. However, be aware that it doesn’t last too long and that it lacks any new gameplay mechanic; don’t expect any surprise aside from its story.

Road to Boruto is a new DLC of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 in which we will play the adventures of Boruto Uzumaki, son of the Hokage Naruto, who will do everything possible to be the best shinobi and be faster, better and stronger than his father. A new generation is on the way!

Weak expansion of truly great game. If you really have to check out Boruto’s story on the console, at least wait for a discount.

We can analise the Road to Boruto DLC in two ways: seeing as a DLC/expansion of the original game, and of a complete version of the game released in the last year, with some additions and a extra content. Looking for the side of a DLC, it's a little dissapointing for those who expected a little more of the content for the price suggested on the launch period. With few new characters and a new short mode that recicles a lot of elements of the original game. But for the people who doesn't have the opportunity to play the original game until now, it's a good call buy this for all the content (3 pack of DLC's), with a addition of a exclusive content, which at least adds on the total time and the selection of characters. The gameplay and the visuals is still incredible and is really recomended for the fans of the manga and anime.

The Road to Boruto DLC has some great combat and cut scenes, but the whole expansion doesn't feel as grand as the original game did.

If you're a Naruto fan or have played one of the previous games I would suggest picking this one up. Other than being short, this Naruto game follows suit with its predecessor and is sure to make any fan of the series very happy.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto is a great addition to the the most beautiful fighting game based on the anime, which expands an already huge roster of available characters, but suffers from a crumpled story and the same type of side quests. The empty and uninteresting city is pulling the game down, but the situation is partly corrected with an impressive epic scale battles, which should please all fans of the series.

The gameplay is exactly what one would expect from Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, as it offers up simplified, yet satisfying, fighting.

Road to Boruto tells a great story, drawing in the player to becoming emotionally attached to the next generation of heroes. The battles are generally entertaining and using characters I’ve never used before certainly helps to keep things fresh. That being said, the best battle on paper is a real let-down and the side quests can drag on a little. Although extra characters for the roster is more than welcome, there are a handful of omissions that should’ve been included instead of having multiple variants of the certain people.

The execution and delivery whilst not matching the predecessor, still maintains the momentum whilst giving the main campaign memorable moments with the snap shots of narrative bringing the best and cutting the worst. Road to Boruto does this and more, easily rivaling Full Burst. A fitting end and purchase for fans of the franchise.
