Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World Reviews
Fortunately, the most recent Yoshi’s adventure was well adapted to the 3DS, and remember us that this beautiful Woolly World has charming and well designed levels. It’s not the best Yoshi’s game, but definitely it is the most memorable one in years.

"Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World" takes all the charm and fuzzy feel of the Wii U version and squeezes it in portable form with some new additions. New features such as Poochy Mode and Poochy pups might not be enough to sway owners of the original game to take the plunge. If you're pining for Woolly World action on the go, however, this is one yarn-filled adventure that you would want to spin.
A 3DS port of a charming platformer, made of a love for details. A must-buy for the handheld, too.

While Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS was below the standards of its original in our view (and scored as such), the same can't be said of Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. It takes fantastic original material and carefully adapts it for the portable, with extras compensating for one lost feature. In the process it becomes an elite 3DS 2D platformer, joining its Wii U predecessor in that company. If you have the Wii U version it's a tough decision on whether to double dip; both versions deliver the same terrific core game. If you haven't played this on Wii U and like Yoshi, 2D platformers or charming games, though, then this is a must-have for the 3DS.
Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World may not revolutionize the platforming genre, or even reinvent the wheel compared to its predecessor but it's a magnificent port filled with lush visual details, a wide variety of challenges and a lifespan set to keep players around the game for long and fun hours. This is a game that deserves all attention it can get.

Although it picks up some unfortunate compromises along the way, Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World is every bit the engrossing, expertly designed platformer that it was on the Wii U. It’s a challenging and equally rewarding title, with enough options to captivate both the casual onlooker and die-hard platforming fan just itching for a new test. Even if the dust has settled, this is a game to brush it off your 3DS for.
There are still plenty of challenges and content to be found in the ‘3DS version of the game. The uniqueness and musical charm are present, just not in a way that complements the console version of Yoshi’s Woolly World.
This port of the 2015 Wii U title Yoshi's Wooly World doesn't try to break the mold, though it's certainly cuter.
Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World is an incredibly fun and solid game as most Nintendo titles are. I love these types of games as they provide a genuine wind-down and don't require a huge amount of mental investment as most open-world games do these days. In my opinion, the levels felt a little less uninspired compared to Kirby's Epic Yarn, but that was due to the fact that Kirby can inhale and take on his enemies attacks which added for an extra gameplay element. Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World is great for gamers of all ages and there's enough content here to keep you going for a long while.
Most of Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World feels sameish. Uninspired.
There are a lot of great platformers on the 3DS, and if you’ve already played Woolly World on the Wii U, it may not be worth shelling out another $40 for this lightly updated version. That said, there’s a real charm to the level design, some real challenge in its item hunt, and a whole lot of cuteness to its aesthetic. It’s not a game of the year, but for fans of Yoshi, it’s hard not to recommend this one.
While the graphical cutbacks are disappointing, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World is an unbelievably cute game with inventive mechanics and levels, and a solid platforming base.
A delightful and well built game, and a welcome addition to any 3DS collection.
‘Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World' has a fun, adorable look and feel ideal for fans and newcomers of all ages. Yielding the perfect combination of fun gameplay, customization, and creative world designs, this game is definitely a must play.
If you never got the chance to play the original on Wii U, then this portable iteration may be a good deal for you, with its brilliant level design, cute protagonists and colorful visuals. Otherwise, there's nothing new here that would deserve a second buy for the owners of the almost-last gen Nintendo console.

Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World comes to 3DS and it’s every bit as delightful (and simple) as it was on the Wii U .
Over all, Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World is a game exploding with vibrant colors, great gameplay, and fun levels that’s polished to mirror-like shine. It is a perfect platformer that can be enjoyed by both new and old who want to take a break from the overly realistic worlds presented in games today. If you have a 3DS, I highly suggest you pick it up.
Technical limitations and lack of co-op really disappoint in this new Nintendo platform for 3DS.

Porting and modifying the game for the 3DS made a good platforming game for a handheld device. I don't consider it one of the best, but it has what makes it unique with a slow-paced gameplay, and a special and cute world (especially Poochy's character and actions). The levels' concepts are fun. Some of them are great, but most of them are just OK.
